I do however have my heart set for a placement in Adelaide, and I'm going to do as much as i can so that i know i have put the hard work and effort into getting a placement somewhere in a completely different environment, where there is so many opportunities and expieriences which i think will help me the most for future jobs or placements!

-i need to but a domain for my portfolio -i also need to consider hosting or if i could possibly run it off a free hosting site -design i need to also think about the design i want my page to look which i have already looked at and know the layout I'm considering for my online portfolio. -cost of a online portfolio- i need to search into the cost of what it will cost me to make a final portfolio that i will be happy with it looking to my expectations.

SCALE I don't want my portfolio to be massive at the moment I'm thinking A5 size book so it is nice and small yet maybe having one image one side and text on the other will not only produce a book layout-like design but will also enable the pictures/designs to be clearly visible taking up a whole page on their own.

I am currently enjoying and proud of my work for STEM stamp project currently undergoing as it definitely reflects well my style of working and my approach and thinking towards a designing brief. It also outlines my perspective of thinking as i had to try and reflect a interesting size and structure in my stamp designs while at the same time keeping it of interesting to the audience and celebratory as the brief is to celebrate the British thinkers of the past and support the learning of STEM subjects to date.

-I have already started my Graphic Design BA HONS degree which was the very first step to creating a realistic plan towards my future job. -My add+Vantage module required me to work ‘as a design agency’ where i had to take on real client work. I gained from this more experience and the problems of communication from both a team and client which exist realistically when working in a real enviroment in graphic design. As you have to work with the clients vision of the design as well as your own and others around you. - I have already traveled abroad many times communicating with a society and surrounded in a new environment which i feel will prepare me for trying to undertake my ambition of placement work for next year in Australia. - My modules currently undergo regular crit sessions and seminars which always allow me to be constantly changing and improving my work on a basis of a wide range of opinions and solutions as well as giving out my own feedback to others which is required in a studio or graphic design environment. - I am also preparing by understanding my future aspirations by doing a PDP journal and following through on my current thoughts for my future and my ongoing current future.

- I will maybe consider a full time employment position- I'm considering this moment in time working for a company rather than doing freelance or working for myself, as i feel i would not be prepared to be my own boss with no experience of working for myself. I feel that freelance work will often be very lonely and i would probably consider it hard as i would have none really to crit my work or give me feedback, it would all be working off what i feel looks right and how to go about problems and issues i face. - I am also considering to get a placement from possibly the connections i make in year2, or even considering it for my future job depending on how i find the way of working, and if my future opinions change on my experience there. -I may also consider an internship to improve my help add to my knowledge and experiences already to open more doors for more opportunities for myself.

My main opportunity I want to make happen is to get working experience in Australia possibly in a studio in the city of Adelaide, as it is nearby to where my friends/family live so I feel I can make opportunities happen as well as feeling relatively stable in a new and different environment away from home. There is one studio in particular I have applied for called ‘ band’ which is a design and digital development studio focused mainly around graphic design and web design. To work in the studio I will need a good knowledge of software skills where I can say this moment in time I do feel comfortable using particularly illustrator and Photoshop. I would definitely need to improve my web-design knowledge with Dreamweaver as I do feel unfamiliar with the software as I have never touched the software until the start of this year, Although I’m unsure if web design is actually for me as I really like to design webpages, but seem to find the coding behind it all too boring for me and so it doesn’t interest me as much. It would be important and useful to learn more into the field, especially as it is considered necessary with the studio being known for its digital deigning for clients.
