PLAN- HOW IT SHOULD LOOK?
PACE
I don't want my portfolio to be fast paced, I want the viewer to look through it slowly to take in my current work and also want them to be able to look in their own time as depending on what work it is it may be more interesting to them and their practice. To ensure this i may put in small breaks after each piece of work with a small description on what the work is and the brief behind it, this will be also for the fact so that my work in my portfolio is informative and understanding.
TONE
I want my work to take a serious approach yet i want my work to look light and enjoyable at the same time. To ensure this outcome my layout will be a white background with just one image supported by modern friendly and welcoming text, i may also consider my branding colours to take a part in my portfolio with a slight appearance of a turquoise-blue colour every now and then hinting me throughout the portfolio.
STRUCTURE
My portfolio structure will be in the format of an interdictive piece of my work to begin to introduce the viewer to my style of work and me, as the portfolio goes on my style will remain throughout but at the end i would like to use a strong piece of my work so that i will be remembered.
SCALE
I don't want my portfolio to be massive at the moment I'm thinking A5 size book so it is nice and small yet maybe having one image one side and text on the other will not only produce a book layout-like design but will also enable the pictures/designs to be clearly visible taking up a whole page on their own.
