Guernica: Sword and Shield
I have a theory that Guernica is planning on overthrowing the World Government. Here are my reasons.
Sakazuki accusing CP-0 of going over the Gorosei's head in chapter 793 to me was hinting that they would betray them in the future.
In chapter 929 we find out that CP-0 is buying weapons from Wano which is supposedly to fight pirates.
In chapter 926 arm dealers say their order is enough for a war.
In chapter 956 the Koby and X-Drake convo hint that the marines are in the dark about the weapon deals.
I know it is a common trope for the villain to create their own worst enemy but Guernica providing the photo of Luffy as Sun God Nika and it mistaken being used as his wanted poster is too much. It screams sabotage.
CP-0 likes infighting among pirates since it weakens both sides. They didn't care who won in the Onigashima Raid. This was visually represented by the game of Go they were playing. I think eyes on Guernica's represent the black and white pieces in Go and is a visual cue that he can't be trusted. In chapter 1028 he basically says the World Government is no better than pirates. Similar to how Spandam convinced the Gorosei recover Pluton I think Guernica tricked the Gorosei into buying weapons from Kaido. I think his true goal is to arm nations hostile to the World Government to star a war they lose. In chapter Nami mentions their shipment of weapons but this plot point is never mentioned again.
When there is a character with a mask a thought that comes to my mind is that he was already introduced. I think he is the WG official that Doflamingo was speaking to about Moria's failed assassination.
And I believe he is Rear Admiral Kadar. I think there is a mystery to Kadar. After being defeated by the Sun Pirates JInbei said he was going to let them go. Turn the next page we find out his sink got ship got sunk.
I think Guernica wiped out his own men and used the fight with Jinbei as a cover.
G-2 is interesting and I think there might be some secret importance to it. Ace got intel from Blackbeard there. And it's next to the Lulusia Kingdom which was vaporized and erased from history for an unknown reason.
