I’ve been screenshotting the COVID outbreak map somewhat regularly since March. Here’s my first one, from March 24, 2020. The dots represent counties in the US. They’ve had to rescale the dot sizes multiple times over the year because they’d outgrow the boundaries otherwise.
And today, December 2, 2020
I also recorded my county. Here’s March 29, and December 2. We went into lockdown on the 24th, and had our first reported COVID death on the 25th.
It’s so easy to just skip past the numbers every day. I wanted to be able to go back and look at the progression of this nightmare.
Please stay home. Please wear a mask if you can’t stay home. This is not the flu. It’s not over.
