Of course, Jackie understood why she had to move on to the Sagebrooke with her brother, but that didn’t change how much it had hurt parting ways with her newfound boyfriend in order to do so. He had family to find, family he knew was still alive. She couldn’t ask him to choose her over someone like that. It wasn’t fair. 

Finding ways to cope with her loss was the hardest part. She had never felt so happy, so free as she did with Jackson, and it was difficult finding joy as the days passed, without him. Her medicine supply was running thin, and she didn’t even have the boy she loved with her to keep her company. To keep her spirits high. So, alcohol would have to do the trick. Upon finishing off a bottle of vodka she had found a few days prior, she found herself stumbling down the halls, hand gripping at the walls until she found an open door, assuming it was her apartment as she slipped inside, searching for the bedroom. Had she not been drunk, she would have realized she was in the wrong home right away, but even as she slipped under the covers to the nearest bed, she hadn’t figured it out. Instead, noticing the body next to her’s, she sat up, holding her head as she did so. “Why are you in my bed?” She slurred, the words just as sad, and almost fearful, as expected.

madeline has always been a fan of crime dramas so when a series of murders start to occur close to her home, of course she's going to be interested. she enlists the help of her friends and all too quickly it becomes clear that something inhuman is doing the killing. by that point, it's too late to back out.

cecilia, rafael, and dominika are training to be police officers, for a special unit whose mission is to take down hacked androids, rogue robots, and other machine-based crime. during their first assignment, they end up in over their head as their unit discovers a factory for eerily human-looking androids, each identical to one another. these should not exist, should not be possible, yet here they are.
