very niche complaint here but love is blind habibi marketed itself as the “dubai” version and while yes, they sought an applicant pool who were based in dubai, the majority of it was filmed in lebanon 😵‍💫😵‍💫 and as a lebanese person watching propaganda about how lebanon is some sort of repressive or conservative country be spread at an alarming rate it’s sooo annoying that people tuning in from the west aren’t seeing that YEAH, — for example — the resort the men and women are all hanging out together in in their swimsuits? is in LEBANON. the entire pods set is there, meaning it was probably a majority lebanese crew of local artists working bts. they still try and portray dubai as the only “open minded” city in the entire middle east as if the entire country of lebanon isn’t like that 😭😭 and you have people sitting there thinking that’s dubai when it’s lebanon which is also now burning
