by the way, olivia did her BIG ONE with you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. it took everything good about her previous albums and absolutely polished up all of the avenues she had been dabbling in. it was so fresh and fun and dreamy !! banger after banger — such a good mix of fun-pop-song lyricism and mature introspection, such a good mix of upbeat earworm production and new wave / movie soundtrack production. it’s a new classic pop bible i fear … it’s so fun to have an artist my age growing like this. maggots for brains is pop song of all time, breathy vocals of what’s wrong with me with ROBERT SMITH (!!!), cigarette smoke is gorg, the cure still gives smashing pumpkins realness, u + me = <3 gives 2000s movie, stupid song is so 2010’s buildup, my way is the angst we need, honeybee is different and haunting for her … I could comment on every song.
