#count razoff

it's ship between Rayman and count Razoff(yes, him, of all characters in series)

in all arts i make of them they are at good terms and don't hurt each-other (85% of times that is and usually unintentionally) they really do love each-other in my AUs even if in canon they are enemies.

do you think this ship is bad? or is it ok?

Honestly I don’t see a problem with this ship. Is it unusual? Sure! Does it need a little work to build off from the limited cannon in the games? Probably! But just because it’s different doesn’t make it bad! People have been shipping main characters with villains for decades, it can make for some very fun stories and situations XD

The good thing is Razoff doesn’t get much development character wise in the only game he’s in, so that allows for a lot of freedom to develop his personality, backstory and romantic possibilities in AU headcannon.

What I think likely happened is that people saw this fun little Easter egg and mistook it as a taxidermy of Sssam but every screenshot of it clearly shows it as a wooden figure.

However Micheal Janod one of the game developers in an interview for Rayman Zone stated that Razoff has statues of his finest “catches” heavy emphasis on that. He said “catches” not “kills”. https://web.archive.org/web/20071012165435/http://raymanzone.uk.ubi.com/interviews_qa_gps_2.php

Sssam was going to appear in the original plot for Rayman 3 before it got heavily rewritten.

I've been told, that Razoff has(or had) taxidermie of Ssssam-like character on his wall, and some of his dialogues hints that he makes taxidermie. But i couldn't find any, only uglies(i think that's what they called)and ONLY uglies in cages, wooden figures of various creatures(and Razoff), mawpaw that lives in his basement, that seem to be generally lively(yes it's helps out Rayman but it doesn't really says anything about its opinion on Raz)

(also its Strategy Guide description (that for some reason mention muddibogs instead despite clearly talking about mawpaws, muddibogs don't have long hands) says this "[mawpaws] are subterranean beasts with long necks. For some unknowable evolutionary reason, they have developed hands where their heads should be. In combat this means that an unloaded fist will be caught and hurled right back at you. An injured [mawpaws] will often retreat underground, so be patient and resume attack when they return." although mawpaws doesn't seem to be agressive i wanted to point it out)

, and his words about how he hunted greater beasts than Rayman, wants to add him to his seemingly hidden collection of exotic animals, how he wants Ray's head on wall and a rug out of his skin while jolly music plays in background.

he also gets extremely scared when uglies(that he supposedly captured) makes a simple show-off
