@sera-myu-week 2022 | Day 6: Other Stories
While most Sailor Moon musicals are based on the series’ main 5 arcs, the shows have also presented different stories - sometimes derivative of other arcs, sometimes completely new (and one time based on a manga side story!).
Not counting the times Bandai mixed different arcs into one, we could count 5 other stories on stage:
The Legend of Kaguya Island (1999(x2), 2004, 2005)
Dracul Arc (2000-01)
Sanctuary of Love (2002)
Kaguya Hime’s Beloved (2021)
Chronicle (2022)

social deathwork discussion with @VolfeganGeist VG : If the end is like that, someone had a lot of work spiking those bodies and lifting them to the sky. X: it is a memento from the past ... XV century
VG : Now we are more efficient. We have nuclear bombs to vaporize everything. No sense of art from the aftermath, just ashes. X: if we are so bad as you say, then howcome have we not already blown it all in 75 years of having the nuke bomb tech? VG : I call that luck. Or maybe our life span is too small to witness this inevitable end. Maybe our generation will see. The clock says it is 100 seconds to midnight, the closest it has been since the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists started in 1947. Tic Tac X : this doomsday clock is just a public relation tool, not at all accurate since it is founded on imperfect and flawed human anticipation of their own self-destruction. VG: Yeah. Too many ways to die, as die I mean extinction. But Nuclear War is still my favored because this slow death cooking is not fun at all. X : the fact that we didn't blow it all in spite of our evident global incompetence and great inclination towards self-destruction might be one of the clues in favor of the "we live in a simulation" hypothesis VG : This game is not fun in real life either. You break your foot, and your career of +10 years is over. The "we live in a simulation" is not different than I got the game started on hard level. These were the times we almost ended all. I say we were lucky. X: hmm... interesting... then what you call "luck" seems really crucial for perpetuation of existence. Do you have an idea what is the source of that luck? Or where shall one start in search to find it? VG : I call that: the commmon sense, with lots of m. It seems we losing that little by little. Since we are in a philosophical debate about the utility of self-preservation, everything nowadays seems to be going down. Even the Internet Is making us psychos: X : these kinds of arguments have been made over and over at each step of our history, these pessimistic inquiries have been evolving at the same rate as our understanding & merely adapts to our new concepts & vocabulary, we have been in this mindset for a while & still there to talk about it... VG: Social threats, fear loops, disbeliefs are producing psychotic problems. The internet is facilitating this process of further atomizing real-life communities. A similar effect, but different, from people in solitary confinement; a natural response to a deeply disturbing reality. X : at one point earlier, scripture was facilitating this process vs oral transmitted knowledge this is another step. X: it is the end of one specific part of a larger process, ppl near the end of a specific part of the larger process always have been under the impression that it is the end of the whole process ... VG: We just need that 1 crazy guy to push the button. Plenty of nuclear bombs & we have lots of suicidal people to the grinder of the military. The USA military suicides have skyrocketed. We are running faster & faster to avoid collapse. While it isn't obvious, all is paradise.
