Lambe had been travelling the Darkwood in search for supplies. He had left his small encampent where Rem and Mal remained almost 3 moonrises ago. Exhaustion and hunger knawed at him. It clouded his rational thinking. So upon seeing some crates thought to be supplies, he forgot to take the proper precautions. A simple misstep that cost him his life.

The altercation was done almost as quickly as it started.

The cultists surrounded Lambe, ridding him of the smallest hope he had of fleeing for safety. No where was safe though. Not the villages, not the wild lands, not even the hollowed out log that lead to a much too small cave where the lambs called refuge.

His only hope was that with his capture, and inevitable demise it would keep his friends safe just a little longer.

Lambe thought it would be quick. A capture, presentation of him served in chains to The Bishops, and then the rolling of his head. It wasn't. Far from it actually. The torture lasted weeks on end. The cultists desperate to force information on the remaining lambs whereabouts from Lambe

They mutilated him, taking one of his hands. Whipped and hacked at him until he would pass out from the pain. Despite their best efforts, he did not budge. He would not doom his friends to the same fate as him.

Who was The Old Faith kidding? The moment Lambe went missing Rem probably moved Mal to another location in fear of information being leaked. Their safety and survival was of upmost importance.

Lambe laughed weakly, much too weak for the cultists to hear. A wheezing cough that ended with blood and spittle upon the ground.

His friends would be safe. If only for a moment longer. He just hoped his death, fast approaching given his state of festering wounds and blood loss, would deter the cultists a little while longer.

Upon resurrection, Lambe thought he had briefly passed out between the old faiths seemingly unending punishment. Fear was the first thing that crossed his mind before confusion over took it upon seeing he was in a different location, Rem beside him on the floor as they lay in front of Mal, much older than last seen by his friends.
