I finally had an Alfred encounter!! This cutie was on my stoop when I got home and was looking pretty dehydrated and tired, I think (it's getting really hot here like pretty much everywhere else). I ran upstairs and came back with some water that I poured in front of him/her and it just kept drinking and drinking!
I stayed with it for quite a while, and when it seemed like it was getting rehydrated transported it to the alley next to my building which is full of overgrown plants, moisture, and shade (free of any bug-killing chemicals too as it's a long-abandoned garden). Hopefully it'll do well there. Gospeed Alfred-like beetle, my friend!
