When We Collide
When I was in high school my beloved brother’s favorite nickname for me was Ice Queen. I have never been able to show my emotions properly, and I tend to avoid doing it in general. I wouldn’t say that it was Larkin’s fault I honestly think it started when my older sister passed away when I was a kid. I am not saying that it made me some kind of social outcast because it didn’t I have two loyal and true best friends that stick by me no matter what. Kat has been my best friend since I could walk and Lou was naturally brought into our tribe when we were in sixth grade and her parents decided to move her to our sleepy little town. They undoubtedly know about my lifelong love for Larkin and accept it. Kat can take a bit more of it than Lou but that's because Lou isn’t one for love obsessions that don’t go anywhere. She is a woman of action and always has been. They both knew how I genuinely felt about Larkin and it broke both of their hearts when they had to see my face of disappointment when I had to see him with HER.
