Im excited to say that I have FINALLY gotten my hands on the cosmicomics!!!!!!! Even though I’ve only read the first one I’m so hyped for the rest. Omgggg Distance of the Moon was so good. Ngl it took me a couple lines to reread but that’s on me lamo. Augh it was so dreamy and nostalgic! I’m imagining myself basking in the Moon’s pale glow as I float around in a pale maxi dress. How cruel of the moon to up at leave the earth like that💔 AND THE UNREQUITED LOVEEEEEE most unfortunate that a man who yearns isn’t always a man that earns😔

OK BY FAR MY FAVE LINE: "...she who makes the Moon the Moon and, whenever she is full, sets the dogs to howling all night long, and me with them." Slsjxaharvbbfffff this carnal desire was so profound and yeah the moment this is how the story concluded I knewwww I was gonna gave a fun time!!!! I’m a sucker for personified concepts and I adore how cheeky this was. Thank you so much for the fire recommendation and putting me on!!!

Im so, so happy to hear that you're enjoying the Cosmicomics!! I read it freshman year of high school, so it's been a hot sec 🤠 But when I read your fic, it immediately reminded me of Calvino's writing. I remember Calvino's writing being beautiful and unconventional, especially with the way he anthropomorphizes the... universe? The stories were WILD and kinda abstract from what I remember, and I remember our Eng teacher being like, "okay, now try to explain and visually present the works!" And we were all like. "How...? 😀"

All this to say, I'm (still) so obsessed with your fic about the elements, and while your writing already stands out beautifully on it's own, the anthropomorphic elements and world building you'd created rlly reminded me of Calvino. Like, the concept of an AU in which everyone's an element and their relationships are depicted via chemical bonding??? I just. Ugh. I wanna make out with ur mind (consensually, ofc). 🩷

And yes, pleeaasee continue updating me with your thoughts!! I'll eat up all your thoughts, no crumbs, and absolutely love it! Esp bcuz that excerpt of the moon?? The image of dancing in a maxi dress as the moon shines on you??? The earth yearning after the unachievable moon????? 😩
