Cordelia and Carrah will never be able to kiss.... No skin to skin contact, no tenderly brushing hair out of eyes, no eye contact while you say ily for the first time..... Aahhhahahh
Probably the first time they Almost Kiss and Cordelia, just for a moment, forgets herself and leans in- and Carrahs lips brush hers just for half a second, just before Carrah collapses onto the forest floor.
She's breathing, but she's unconscious for a good two days. I don't know if Carrah Knows at this point, because it IS a slow burn on the romance, so it might've been long enough.....
But either way, she can't find Cordelia for months after that. Duck says a strange girl dropped her off at the ranger station, that she mightve been crying but he couldn't see- she sounded so scared. And he offered to let her stay, but. As soon as Carrah was out of her arms, Cordelia was gone.
She left the necklace, that first one with the rock on it, clasped around Carrahs neck.
Yeah Carrah knows the cave well enough by now and it looks... Ransacked. One of the blankets is missing, all of Cordelias favourite trinkets are missing, along with about half of her rocks. The other half, upon which further notice Carrah realizes are the ones /she/ gave her, are all still there. Along with a note.
The note consists basically of 'im sorry I didn't know that would happen I'm so sorry I won't bother you again I'm so so sorry' and the paper is shitty enough you can tell there are tears marks
