What's wrong with prong collars? We've used one on our dog since he was a puppy and haven't had any problems. It's just another method of training.

Prong collars are unnecessary and ineffective. They're also called pinch collars. Can you guess why?
Using aversive and unnecessary training collars is cruel. A dog does not learn anything from these collars. These collars can even make reactive dogs worse since the dog will associate the pain of the collar with whatever set it off in the first place.
It's not just another method of training. It isn't training at all. It's a lazy way to keep a dog from doing something you don't want it to without actually teaching it anything.
