@corilash Perhaps they weren't the most likely pair, but that wasn't too strange for Aurora. She didn't always do what was typical or expected in her life. Her father was incredibly wealthy, and since she was in her 20s, he'd bugged her about settling down. The times he set her up, she purposefully chased away each suitor. She didn't like them. The one thing she wanted was to actually find someone she loved; someone who could love her. Not her money, her status, her father's status, etc, but her. Cash wasn't specifically her type, but the moment she met him, something drew her in, pulled at her. He was a little older and definitely a far cry from anyone her father would ever select. It took some time for Malcolm Sterling to get on board, but seeing his daughter happy did help. Plus, now that she was in her 30s, what he truly wanted was for her to find someone, to settle down, and, of course, the male wanted more grandkids. The main thing right now, she was happy.
They'd ended up at a bar, a place Aurora liked. It wasn't usually ever overly crowded. The atmosphere felt calm, and it just had a vibe that seemed welcoming to the brunette. Arms had slipped around Cash, leaning up to kiss his cheek before murmuring she was going to freshen up. Ari was sure she hadn't been gone that long, using the restroom, fixing her hair before finally exiting. Eyes landed on the woman she swore stood too close to her man. Arms crossed over her chest with a slight huff. Be calm, she told herself, despite not feeling particularly calm. Long strides brought her back to him quicker than when she'd gone the opposite way. She pushed her body between the two, "He's taken. And you should go away, find someone available or leave. Don't make me help you decide," her tone sharpened briefly before taking in a breath. "Go. Walk away," she narrowed her gaze at the woman.
