It was raining heavily outside, and the weather report stated that there'll be more than just rain within a 10-hour radius,

(which at first doesn't really make sense but hey, I'm an author; not a weather reporter/meteorologist)

So as (Y/N) drink their mug, or cup, of their afternoon drink; (Y/N) heard something at their window other than the pattering of the rain.

(Y/N) turn their head, sets down their drink, stood up from their chair at the table, and walks over to the window,

Knowing they might let in some rain; they open the window and, in a flash, comes the snake man, Copperhead, all soaking wet and shivering with fear,

"Copper! Surprised you even managed to get back here despite the storm!" (Y/N) shouted with surprise, shutting the window in the process, "S-Sssooo c-cold..." he shivers,

"H-Hey, it's alright, Coppy, let me just get a towel, or say a blanket and get you all dried u-"

Then the loud cracking of thunder roars, startling (Y/N) and causing Copperhead to shout and flee to the couch like a panicked cat, shuddering from the agitation of the storm's roar,

"Copper!" (Y/N) shouted, running towards him with the blanket in hand, "Hey, hey, shh, shh, it's alright, deep breaths, Copperhead, deep breaths" (Y/N) said, wrapping the blanket around him and rubbing his back,

"It's alright, it's alright... It's alright..." (Y/N)'s voice soothed Copperhead, hearing the snake man take a few deep breaths before feeling much happier than a snake in 75℉ weather (or 23℃ weather), fairly ironic considering it's storming outside,

"I tend to dislike rain, as certain rain droplets get into my suit and helmet, but when there's lightning and thunder; I panic at an instant. I try keeping my composure whenever something like this happens at the Injustice League, my workplace, but it's just too loud..."

He wraps his arms around (Y/N)'s torso and purrs similarly to a feline's, now feeling warm and at peace from the storm. (Y/N) also feeling warm and at peace gives him a smooch on the head, and the both of them rest throughout the storm,

Albeit with a few lightning strikes or two but at least they're both happy during the rainstorm...

But in the end, both are happy, in a wholesome way.

HEADCANONS!

Copperhead hates and fears extremely loud noises, so thunderstorms he hates but mostly fears the most.

HEADCANONS:

He would, at first, be confused as to what the reader means by "baby boy" but would still blush if it means that he's an adorable guy, in that case perhaps.

He would become a flustered mess if the reader decided to call him that in a flirty tone, or a cutesy tone if you feel like being playful with your language.

If called that in public, he'd become anxious in fear that someone might've heard it and may use it to its advantage, but a good thing to know none seemed to care to use it to their advantage so it's just between the reader and Copperhead.

The Headcanons in Action:

In the living room of (Y/N)'s home, (apartment or not, you decide), they're just watching television, watching a favorite movie or TV show from either their childhood or their current years,

(Y/N) felt bored and somewhat sleepy, ever since the two encounters and that off-screen date with Copperhead,

Speaking of Copperhead,

Out the window, onto the home's floors, and out from the shadows; Copperhead walks over to the couch and leans over to look at (Y/N), "Oh, sweetheart~ You still awake?" he spoke in that sultry voice,

"Yeah, enough energy for me to take an all-nighter, I'd say..." (Y/N) said to Copperhead sarcastically,

He chuckled, "Aw, c'mon, sweetheart. Don't feel so down in the dumps. I may be out and about doing my usual stuff, but sometimes; there are certain times when someone can be happy, right~?" he asked, attempting to be flirty with them,

(Y/N) smirked, "Okay, baby boy, whatever you say," they spoke,

Copperhead looks at them confused, while also blushing at the same time, "Baby boy? Wh-What do you mean by 'baby boy'?" Copperhead asked, "It's a term of endearment for a man, at least; that's what the dictionary calls it," (Y/N) explains, "Think you can handle more info?" (Y/N) then spoke in a flirty tone,

Copperhead blushes more, "I- Oh- Uh-" he stuttered,

(Y/N) chuckles, "Oh~ Look who's becoming a serpiente sonrojada?" they teased,

(By the way, "serpiente sonrojada" means "blushing snake" in Spanish, if you didn't know. Anyways, back to the story-)

"Seems like you like being called that, hm?" (Y/N) teased again, rising up and pulling Copperhead by his collar,

"Uhh- Oh- I- Uh..." Copperhead stammered, becoming a blushing mess as (Y/N) described him to be, considering how close he is between himself and (Y/N)'s face,

"Heh-heh, adorable how you blush, Cop, adorable~" (Y/N) flirted, giving him a peck on the lips in the process and letting go of his collar, which makes him redder than a coral snake's red stripes,

"Oh shucks..." he muttered, now in that entranced state as before, (Y/N) finds it adorable and "so him".

"Now, baby boy, it's getting late already, and since you don't have a place to really consider 'home'; perhaps you'd stay for the night?" (Y/N) asked, slightly giggling at Copperhead's slow back-and-forth movements when he's in that entranced state,

"S-Sure, why not? I'm sleepy already, so that seems fit enough..." he muttered,

"Good to know," (Y/N) responded, "Good to know."

And they slept for the night.

He tends to do the things he loves privately, such as listening or dancing to music, but sometimes when he gets caught dancing to a song; he becomes startled and flusters badly.

He attempts to be cool and collected, but when he's in a scenario where someone is flirting with him; he flusters so much, it makes him redder than an albino snake's eyes.

He attempts to be confident (as seen in the two previous fics), but even if he tries to be threatening; he flusters when someone finds him more adorable than scary, though there are certain occasions where he's as scary as a rattlesnake's bite.

When someone he likes plays a song that he loves, he becomes a flustered, blushing mess. Especially if the song he loves is covered by the person he likes.

Even if you take him somewhere that involves dancing, at first; he doesn't want to join the person to dance but when the person insists that it's going to be fun and takes him anyways to dance; he becomes such a mush of blush. (Attempted to rhyme there to make a joke.)

HELL TO PAY Copperhead:

Hell to Pay Copperhead is the oldest. Stern, serious, quiet, soft-spoken, but can also be a voice of reason.

Hell to Pay Copperhead is the one that works hardest, being part of the Suicide Squad and all, which tends to make him more isolated from the other Copperheads but when he finally manages to head home; his dynamic with them is like that of a caring parental figure. That'll be more evident when we get to Justice League Copperhead's Sibling Headcanons.

JUSTICE LEAGUE Copperhead:

Justice League Copperhead is in the middle. Stubborn, yet cowardly, he tries to be cool but locks away his true emotions in fear that others would find him weak.

He's the one that gets teased often by Arkham Copperhead and is the one that gets into catfights on rarer occasions. When injured, he gets tended by Hell to Pay Copperhead and tends to be scolded by Hell to Pay Copperhead every time he gets into a catfight or something else entirely. As my previous headcanons about Justice League Copperhead, he tries to be cool but is just an anxious guy who wants to be loved by everyone.

ARKHAM ORIGINS Copperhead:

Arkham Origins Copperhead is the youngest. Cocky, flirty, and doesn't give two shits about anything, she's a rough-housing teaser who loves to annoy Justice League Copperhead because she finds it amusing.

She often gets away with punishment or from being scolded, though she does get caught on some occasions. The reason she does all this, teasing Justice League Copperhead and all that, is because back when she was young (the Copperhead siblings are adopted, mind you.); she never had parents, she was an orphan, and none seem to care about her existence when she was a child, so she ends up getting into catfights with others and winning, but it wasn't until she became a Copperhead where her attention-seeking ways kick in; though, she does soften a bit if you were to give her some common sense, but she'll find fun whenever she can.

Their dynamics can be chaotic if needed, but all and all; snake siblings! And also, have some incorrect quotes to give some examples of what the Copperhead Siblings are.

Incorrect Quote #1:

Copperhead (Justice League): You should have realized, Copperhead (Arkham Origins), if Copperhead (Hell to Pay) didn't kill you, I would.

Incorrect Quote #2:

Copperhead (Arkham Origins), excitedly: Heeyy!! Copperhead (Hell to Pay): Hey, someone's excited. Copperhead (Justice League), deadpan: Yeah, and it's making me sick.

Incorrect Quote #3:

Copperhead attempts to be intimidating (which succeeds sometimes) but deep down, he just wants to be loved and noticed by his allies; who all of them thought he was just another weak rogue in the gallery.

Copperhead tends to keep things secret to himself, but when something about himself is known to some folks; he becomes a flustered mess, badly.

He likes to be alone but tends to have separation anxiety if someone he likes either dies (or betrays him for that matter.)

His music tastes tend to be mixed on certain occasions. When he's in love, he tends to listen to love songs (like say "Come a Little Bit Closer" by Jay and The Americans), or if he's in a depressing mood; he tends to listen to songs with somber mood or perhaps a little sad jazz or some blues, like a jazz cover of Mr. Blue Sky.

He closets most of his emotions so he could blend in with the rogues, but such a closet can't handle such strong emotions, which tends to get him into anxiety breakdowns.

He likes things tropical and dreams of living in a jungle where he can feel free and unbound from the terrible coils of reality. Only a man can dream.
