there’s  a  silent  rage  that  rattles  in  copper’s  chest  and  she  knows  her  people  don’t  see  it .  they  look  at  sol  and  her  and  wonder  how  she  could  be  related  to  the  psychopath  wielding  a  barb  wired  bat . but  they  don’t  see  the  silent  rage  that  rattles  in  copper’s  chest  just  one  bad  day  from  being  shook  free . they  don’t  know  about  the  blood on  her  hands  from  the  people  slain  just  because  she  knew  she  could .

its a rare thing for the stuffed animal to outgrow the child. i ask myself what id say to you if we met again, but theres nothing that really comes to mind. theres too much i could say and none of it would be enough. i can imagine your every reply in every dream i have. is that enough? can i be satisfied with a memory? hey... its okay if i keep walking, isnt it?

Im trying... To character design. Noting to myself that Travis's hoodie should be special, because Copper made it for him. (Perhaps an animal design? I am thinking a lamb, as reference to Revelation 6:16 The Wrath Of The Lamb. Also as a reference to Lambs often being depicted as God's sacrifices)

The monster in the woods is the nicest person in this story

The priest is a shapeshifter-type creature feeding off of others. It's main prey, as of right now, is a boy named Travis. (Originally just gonna be a priest whose a horrible human being, because ykyk humans are the most terrifying of all but I couldn't think of many ways to make that interesting -_-)

The creatures aren't the only scary parts of this story. The entire town is haunted, in one way or another.

The protagonist, Copper Davies, lives in a haunted house. This house has the combined personality of him and his uncle; it's angry and selfish, but also sad and lonely. It's loud. It's scary. It's unkind. It doesn't want to be here. When there's an angry man in your house, not even your own bedroom is safe.

Travis paints because it's the only thing he can control, but what happens when that too becomes haunted? What will happen when your safe space turns into an unhealthy obsession? His hands are moving on their own now, and his paintings have become something he didn't want them to be. Why can't he control anything?
