Back from the land of Aussies
The word to sum up Australia: AWESOME. Literally, it's probably the most exciting place you'll ever go (I'm on a high right now). It's like California but people are more friendly. I went to Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney throughout these 9-10 days and I can honestly say it was the best experience of my life (to date that is). Thanks to Shuang and Tian who made the trip so smooth, and of course Immy who let me stay at his rez, aka condo. So what'd I do? Brisbane: saw the city, Mt. Coot-tha, South Bank and of course, the Hu-family home Gold Coast: visited Surfer's Paradise, home of the BEST beaches everrrr Sydney: Taronga Zoo, Opera House, the Tower, bridge, Chinatown and all the tourist-y stuff Australia is a definite place to go to. It's pretty similar to US and Canada but it has its own flare that I can't put my finger on. Maybe it's the "OY MATE" that I am getting use to saying now, or maybe it's just 'down under'. It was pretty great and of you want to know what we did, you can visit Imm'y blog (http://australianchris.blogspot.com/). I agree with Chris in his entry though. It felt quite bad when Shuang and I left for the airport and Chris went back to Macquarie. It also felt horrible saying bye today to Shuang and Tian. But I'm sure we will see each other again SOONTIMESS. Pictures are uploaded on FB.
