You are free to use any medium you like! Fanart, songs, gifsets, etc. included. If you want to record a skit or take a picture of a more physical work, those are also more than welcome! I suppose if any visual medium were to use flashing lights or cause drag on phones it ought to be tagged and/or auto-paused also, so I guess that will go on the updated rules list.

This event is not restricted to fan work! Actually, it's not even restricted to fiction, although that one may be a step more difficult given some of the prompts we'll be using this year 😅

runningnose with 2 (however that applies in your setting)? if he's not relevant enough, silverstream?

nightstar with 7 + 16? (the shadowclan leader—apparently there's another cat named that, according to the wiki?) if he's not relevant enough, bluestar?

blackstar (blackfoot at this point) and longtail with 34 + 24?

Oh trust me, almost all characters are relevant, ha-ha! I have all characters from The Prophecies Begin in my allegiances doc. Even some that aren't included in the first arc ...

For 31 with Redtail: Redtail loves receiving gifts! At the moment, he still has his mother, his sister, and his daughter, and so he is absolutely delighted whenever they give him something. He loves sweet things, so it’s often treats or fruits he’s gifted with. He also loves to give gifts. Specific ones for that specific person. His ideal gift is a day to spend with his daughter Sandstorm. He likes to take her to the places he explored as a boy, some … six or seven decades ago.

For 31 with Goldenflower: She doesn’t so much like receiving gifts, since it's her nature to give instead of be given. She is the one to want to give gifts. If someone gives her something, she’ll do the typical, “Oh, you shouldn’t have!” or “But you didn’t need to.” Her ideal gift would be an entire fortnight with her husband, not anything too extravagant just … time to be together and sing together like they used to, before Tigerclaw got so busy with his vanguard duties and her with their younger children …

For 2 with Runningnose: Ahh! This is a good one! Runningnose is a Dwarf in the Clan of Hûl, and the Dwarves love their music and songs. Even though Runningnose isn’t like normal Dwarves, he loves the songs of his people. The harp and fiddle are his favorite instruments to listen to. But Runningnose cannot sing for the life of him. His tune is always off-key.

For 7 with Nightstar: Hmm. Glad I put this ask up because now I get to think of things I wouldn’t have thought of before, ha-ha! Nightstar’s favorite animal … would have to be a dead one. He isn’t the kind that is fond of a particular animal, he just enjoys eating them. Rabbits, dear, pork, beef. He isn’t picky.

For 16 with Nightstar: No, he doesn’t have any pets. It would not last long ...

For 34 with Blackstar, or Blackfoot I should say: He would say he’s a true Dwarf. Born from stone, voice of stone, mind of stone, body of stone, will die in the stone. “I may be the salt in someone’s wound, but I’ll keep it from getting worse.”

For 24 with Blackfoot: He doesn’t have hobbies really. His duty as the Heir takes away a lot of free time. He does do some carving though. Sometimes when he has free time, he’ll take out his carving knife and whittle away at some wood. Though that free time is few and far between.

For 34 with Longtail: He would say he’s one of the greatest vanguards in the House of Rúmil’s history, and he hasn’t even been a vanguard that long! He believes he will be a great hero who will help the House of Rúmil achieve more might! More strength! More greatness! Or at the least, do something that will make the other Houses and Clan fear his kin and kith.

For 24 with Longtail: He loves swordfighting. Any day spent with his blade is a good one, and so his days are filled with goodness! He also enjoys singing! Although that is more of a private hobby for him.

phew, last batch of art fight attacks for the year (save for one mass attack that I'll post individually in a second)! genuinely cannot believe I drew so many this year, haha. see everyone next year!

5 for whitestorm and scourge? 17 for cloudtail? 6 + 24 for princess?

No, no, please! Send me more if you want! I really enjoy answering these, and they're helping with some lore-building for The Vermilion Rabbit! Maybe I'll even get that prologue finished this weekend ...

Ahem.

All right, 5 for Whitestorm: he dresses in a light blue tunic, with light beige-gray trousers, and slippers of the same color but a darker shade. Since he is an advisor and member of the court, his clothing is adorned with silver embroidery on the edges of the tunic and hems of the sleeves. He wears silver earrings, silver rings on both hands, and silver chains with diamonds strung on them. His wardrobe leans more toward aesthetic because he has to dress up a little for his duties.

5 for Scourge: he dresses in a white poet shirt, with black breeches, and black leather boots. He also wears a belt with an assortment of daggers and a sword stuck in sheaths stitched into it. He possesses a crown made of twisted metal and fire-drake teeth. His wardrobe is both practicality and aesthetics because he likes being able to move around but also look good.

17 for Cloudtail: where I’m at in the story currently, and until Cloudtail is introduced ha-ha, he spends his free time being his momma’s little heart attack. Everyone says he has his uncle’s and grandfather’s penchant for mischief. You set him down, turn around, and he’ll be out the door in a flash and toddling to the neighbor’s gardens, the fields, out in the Shire's meadows, or even going toward the forest border. Of course, he always puts up a fuss when he gets scooped up and taken back into the house. Such a free spirit that one.

6 for Princess: she wears her hair sort of … in an up-do. Like partially pulled up into a makeshift ponytail. Although her hair is curls and curls of light ginger, so it looks like a bunch of pristine curls raining down from her head. She cares a lot about her hair. She combs it every morning and every night, washes it frequently, and uses oils from the apothecary to care for it. She also wears a scarf over head while she sleeps. Curly hair requires more maintenance than straighter hair after all.

3 for raven, fire, and gray?

if you've thought about tigerstar yet: 21 and 10? if not, the same with sandstorm?

That’s the phrase I was looking for! First arc cats! Thank you so much! I’ll have to edit it to say that …

Ooh, weapon of choice. Hm. I believe Raven would use a longbow and barbed arrows. While he is a vanguard apprentice, he isn’t suited for close range or hand-to-hand combat. One of the things that makes his relationship with Tigerclaw so … tense.

For Fire, he has a short sword. As a hobbit, he doesn’t have the physical requirement to wield a longsword or an axe, unless the axe is small, since … he’s short. Although, his height can be an advantage because most opponents are used to swinging up toward the head or torso, and aiming their sword lower requires practice and different moves, giving little Fire enough time to slice at the legs and ankles.

For Gray, he wields a long sword, thin and single-edged. He is an average swordfighter, but he does do great in close range and hand-to-hand combat if his weapon is forced from his hand.

I have thought of Tigerclaw, ha-ha. Most first arc cats, from all five books, are going to be prominent or mentioned in some manner. So, for 10 for Tigerclaw, he wears earrings! But just when he isn't on duty. So staying around home and during celebrations would call for gold earrings that adorn his Elf ears. He also wears gold necklaces sometimes. He doesn’t wear rings on his hands because that could get caught during a fight and rip a finger off. His favorite gem would be golden topaz, because it reminds him of his beautiful wife and her golden hair. (Another reason he wears gold so much).

And 21 … Hmm. Well, he does like being in the throne room, even though at the moment he can’t sit on the throne … But his favorite place is at home, beside the fireplace, on his chair and reading to his youngest children (Swiftpaw, Bramblekit, and Tawnykit).

And I’ll answer for Sandstorm too, as a treat! For 10, she does wear earrings and necklaces, but just on formal occasions. She is quite sincere in her role as a vanguard novitiate, and even though she lacks her father’s (Redtail) flair for adornment, she won’t risk being spotted or caught off-guard if her jewelry snags in something. She prefers silver jewelry, as it reminds her of the stars. And for a favorite gem, she likes sapphires, of any color and kind.
