Indulge in the refreshing taste of homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream! This creamy delight combines the coolness of mint with the richness of chocolate chips for a perfect summer treat.
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup whole milk. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon peppermint extract. 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips. Green food coloring optional.
Instructions: Mix heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar in a bowl with a whisk until the sugar is completely mixed in. If you want to use green food coloring, add it along with the peppermint extract and mix it all together with a whisk. Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it as directed by the maker's maker. Put the mini chocolate chips in during the last few minutes of churning and let them mix in with the ice cream. When the ice cream is the right consistency, put it in a container, cover it, and freeze it for at least 4 hours, or until it is firm. Serve and have fun!
