what if lightning mcqueen never found out that mater had been a spy for a while and then mater just randomly goes in response to something “oh yeah like that one time where we did this thing with the spies!” (i don’t remember the names) and lighting was left to figure out if it’s another nonsensical Mater Thing or if it’s an Actual Thing That Happened and hey wait what when was he ever a spy mater hey what
oooh, that would actually be a cool au idea! I feel like lightning would think "oh that's just another "a maters tall tales" thing". but as mater kinda drops hints he was a spy with the "allinol conspiracy" and the car "accidents" Mcqueen starts to believe mater. but everyone would probably think that he is just making stuff up so he goes to the two people that would most likely believe him...
sarge and Fillmore! I mean both were already suspicious of allinol and switched the allinol to regular gas even before the big reveal in the actual movie.
plus even if there wasn't a big reveal in this au Fillmore was already a big conspirator and sarge seems to have an agreement with Fillmore since he was the one to switch it out!
so the three tag together as like a conspiracy group to find out what happened at the grand prix! :D
