Queen shit when Misako killed the head of the explorers club, I saw it happen
Robin Wood
(? 1953-Apr 18, 2021)
Artist, wise woman, DM, fan, cat feeder person, activist from the AIDS crisis onwards, and smart, funny lady.
(Self-portrait in 1988 from the back of People of Pern, accurately captures her personality)
Robin was active in the convention and SCA circuit until fibromyalgia clobbered her in the late 90s, but she used to illustrate a lot of the covers for the main D&D zine, Dragon magazine.
After that she went digital – I took some 3-D digital art classes with her in the late 90s. I understand that in recent years she's been releasing a ton of resources for Second Life. Here's her art & prints to ogle.
One of her close friends just tweeted that she passed away. Robin was one of the good 'uns. She may be gone, but she is survived by a lot of wonderful art and memories in the hearts of those who knew her.
