So, who doesn’t love peaches? And who doesn’t love the syrupy, spiced goodness of peach pie? It’s even better in oatmeal!
1 peach (can be a bit firm or super soft, it’ll be cut up and the sugar will soften it a bit)
Roughly 2 tbs sugar (I usually just add until it feels right)
Around 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (again, it’ll feel right)
1 cup quick oats (you can use any kind, I just use quick oats because energy is limited for me)
1-3/4 cup milk or water (I prefer water for a thinner oatmeal)
1. Put your milk/water into a saucepan and put it on the stove to boil
2. While your liquid is boiling cut up your peach, you can skin it if you want, I personally like the texture and taste of the skin
3. Add sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to your peach (you can just put it in the bowl you plan to eat in)
4. Stir it together, make sure everything is all sugared up so it’ll make juice while your oatmeal cooks
5. Once your liquid boils add your oats
6. Let them cook to the desired consistency (I prefer thinner, waterier, it goes better with the texture of the peach)
7. Once your oatmeal is done turn off the stove and pour the oatmeal over the peach
8. Stir, so the oatmeal and peach is mixed well and you can get peach with most bites
Add granola for crunch (haven’t tried, but have considered)
