So I had a psychiatrist appointment yesterday
She's diagnosing me with BPD even though I don't meet the criteria
I meet the criteria for bipolar disorder but she's not diagnosing me with that because nobody came to me and told me to get help when I was having what appears to have been a manic/hypomanic episode (don't even know if I'm type 1 or type 2!! Also being told to get help *isn't* a criterion for bipolar)
She doesn't think I have psychosis bc I know when I'm having symptoms, even though there was a time where I *didn't* know when I was having symptoms and also wtf else do you call it when you have hallucinations and delusions
However she simultaneously thinks I *do* have psychosis but in the form of micropsychosis, where episodes are 7 days or less, even though my longest episode was 16 months
And this was not just the only psychiatrist I thought I could trust, but also the last psychiatrist who would even take me π«
