It depends who asked me
No

"Do Not Touch Me, Cretin."
I'm trying to engage with other writeblr blogs, but I'm chronically bad at this sort of thing. So dropping this post to say, hi, if I've followed you, I probably saw your writeblr intro and wanted to engage and have yet to figure out how to do so in a non-creepy way.

Anything with Praeripio or continuing the previous story, I loved the vibe in the story
YES, it's actually one of my favorites that I have written so far!!
I did a follow up recently here and I want to flesh out Amoura’s character a little more.
I’m not quite sure the direction I want to take ngl. I am stuck between having a formal plot or just loosely tied stories. We will see ig
Conversational
CW: induction, trancey language, conversational hypnosis (kinda)
You know, I've been thinking about writing an induction for a while now.
But I could never think of what exactly I wanted to do, how to do it, or where to take it. So I started from the perspective I know best: the subject.
If I were reading an induction, what would I want it to do to me?
Can I create something both effective and self indulgent at the same time?
That train of thought led me to conversational inductions. As a subject, they're one of my favorite things to experience. Slowly falling down, down, down until there's nothing left and I'm just so warm and fuzzy.
There's just something about being taken deep into trance without noticing.
Because oftentimes once you notice, it's too late.
Just the thought of that is so enticing and relaxing, wouldn’t you agree?
But that got me thinking: is it even possible to write a self indulgent conversational induction through this medium?
What defines a conversation? Ultimately some liberties have to be taken. Because a conversation is generally between at least two people.
But does this count as a conversation? I mean, I’m just typing words on a screen. I cannot see or hear how you respond.
I don’t know if this is slowly starting to have an effect on you or not.
This is just a one-sided conversation. I type, you read.
But I suppose it's better this way.
I use my words, and you sit there looking pretty and follow along.
It’s easier to just let me do all the talking and to lead this conversation wherever it desires to go.
And maybe you’ll find yourself nodding as you agree with that statement.
Good.
Definitions and semantics aside, let’s go back to my original train of thought.
When doing a conversational induction through a file or through text, there’s an element of anticipation at play as well.
You already know what’s going to happen, you just don’t know when.
You might relax now, or you might relax later.
You could be in trance right at this moment, or you could fall into trance a few minutes from now.
The beautiful thing is that regardless of when, it’s right.
There’s also anticipation in regards to how it will be done.
Will words just subtly sink deeply into your mind?
Or will it hit you hard and fast and drop you impossibly deep?
A conversational induction can go in many directions.
It can start from a random, unrelated topic, or it can start from the discussion of hypnosis itself.
The memory is such a powerful tool, so I find myself drawn to inductions that start with talking about hypnosis.
Because bringing up the concept of hypnosis creates a wonderful set of feelings.
The familiarity triggers those synapses, drawing upon old pathways with mind-blanking electricity.
It’s so easy to go into a trance when your mind already knows what to do.
When the words can trace the paths in the grooves of your brain and slide so smoothly and gently into where they belong.
When was the last time you were in a trance?
Are you in trance right now?
If you were in trance right now, could you go deeper?
Again and again.
Deeper.
It’s so easy to sink back down into that comfortable feeling you know so well.
So easy to relax and sink and go blank just from recalling trance—just from thinking about being hypnotized.
Good. That’s right.
Deeper down.
Sink.
Fall.
Drop.
It feels so good to be in trance, it feels so good to keep spiraling down, deeper and deeper every time.
Take a moment to indulge in this feeling and enjoy it for just a moment. Perhaps even closing your eyes for just a moment to savor the feeling of trance, opening them when you’re ready.
Good.
And as easily as you fell, you can find yourself coming back up, up, up if this had an effect on you. Feeling relaxed, refreshed, and so good.
Hope you enjoyed!
