You are one of the first BATIM content creators I followed and I absolutely adore Johan. Would you mind just rambling a bit about Johan's species? An infodump, if you're comfy with that.
oh my god i would LOVE to i have so much stupid little things to share
you might know that johan is a plant. you might know that johan is an alien. could be you know neither. it depends on where exactly you are in his story.
so. it took a long time to figure out what exactly jo was - i just gave the species a name a little bit ago - all i knew was that he was not human, and not a demon, and not supernatural.
but control, you may ask, how could that be?
find out under the cut.
First things first: 1) What life kingdom does Johan fall in? The answer to that is an interesting one. Being that he is half human, he goes into the regular animal kingdom with that. However, his father is a strange creature that is a Walking Plant. It is an unemotional species that focuses on the self and eating often. They are similar in form to creatures we call “Tardigrades”. However, because they are plants, I have dubbed them ‘Terragrades’, to be translated as ‘plant walkers’. Thus, Johan’s into the plant and animal kingdom.
2) Aren’t tardigrades known as water bears? Yes. you have come to a weakness of mine, the Puns. Now, it was discussed once if Johan was a twink or a bear, and the answer was otter. Now, what do you think if you’d cross a waterbear with a human? An otter. The water aspect... just replace that with ink.
3) How isn’t he supernatural, though? This is a major part of my series, though hiding in the background. There is another thing here - Subnatural beings. These are so natural that it is unnatural Just like there are spectrums all over, so too is nature, supernature, and subnature all on the same spectrum. Subnature is in ways the same thing as supernature, and in other ways the exact opposite. Supernatural beings are effected by nature, but lay above it, such as were-creatures - they are affected by lunar phases, but nothing much else. However, subnatural creatures are the reason why nature is affected. If there is a fae, it will make plants bloom, because that is its subnature. Johan’s subnature is a magnetic force towards supernatural creatures of all kinds, as well as his ability to see the numbers (or perhaps cause the numbers) that lay beneath the surface of molecules.
this might be a bit too much ;; sorry but also thank you i love asks like these
