In the episode Legs From Here To Homeworld, we’re introduced to White Diamond and White Pearl. A lot of people have pointed out that White Pearl looks like Cloud Connie from the episode Open Book. So I rewatched Open Book to find some parallels between the two of them. I believe Open Book represents the pearl exchange between Pink Diamond and White Diamond.

In Open Book, Steven and Cloud Connie make their own ending to The Spirit Morph Saga. Whenever Steven asked what Cloud Connie wanted, she asks him what he wanted. When Steven told her not to want what he wants, causing her to break down. Then she chases him down, fights with the real Connie, makes Steven confess about liking the ending of the book, and disappears.

From what I can tell, Steven represents Pink, Connie represents our Pearl (White’s original pearl/Pink’s new pearl), and Cloud Connie represents White Pearl (Pink’s original pearl/White’s new pearl). Since Pink doesn’t know much about leading or running a colony, she needed her pearl to give her advice. White Pearl couldn’t do that. She could only agree with her diamond and ask her what she wants. Soon, Pink told White Pearl not to want what she wants, causing White Pearl to break down. That’s when White switched her out with a different pearl that’s better suited for Pink: our Pearl. Our Pearl can project her imaginations and ideas from her gem. Once the exchange was complete, White Pearl basically disappeared from Pink’s life.

You know what would’ve made Chapter 4 of V3 more interesting? If Gokuhara killed Ouma instead of Iruma. If Gokuhara wanted to protect the others from the secret of the outside world by sparing as many of them as possible, he should’ve gotten rid of Ouma so he wouldn’t reveal the truth. Like the muscular characters that came before him, he should’ve sacrificed himself by committing murder in order to protect his friends. First, he would kill Ouma by choking him with the toilet paper. Iruma would stand there thinking “The hell!? Why’d Gokuhara take my kill!? How’d he even get here!?” Then, he would confess to his crime so the trial would be quick. The only issue is that Gokuhara can’t remember what happened in the virtual world. The only witness would be Iruma but nobody would believe her. Eventually, Gokuhara would be chosen as the blackened and Alter Ego Gokuhara would explain his actions. AGE would keep the secret of the outside world vague by saying something like “Everyone, please stay in academy! If you all escape, Gonta not know what could happen to you all!
