to the anon who is concerned about literacy in grp chat & contradictory actions
I apologize in advance if this sounds rude. I'm not very good at beating around the bush and I am often blunt when addressing issues as serious as this.
Sure, other roleplays have their own company family chat so I can see why you would say that it's not unique. How often are those extremely active such as this one? Maybe a couple, but it's rare.
If you want me to create a section in our rules where I specifically outline every tiny detail regarding how to use a group chat I will do it, but I feel that it is unnecessary. Had a member not been added to the group chat, you would've felt that you were excluded. The amount of PMs I have sitting there waiting to be answered is high either it's to chat or to answer problems other rpers have to arise. I do not have the time to monitor a group chat as closely as you are able to as I have a ton of other things going on outside of rp, which would explain my lack of participation in the group chat as you have noticed. If I do have the time, I contribute very little. I’m sure Admin Irene and Yongguk will agree with me on this one.
The announcement admin Yongguk made, I crafted myself. If you reread all the previous announcements I've personally posted and these messages that I’ve replied to with my signature attached, you'll notice that it sounds just like me. Rules matter yes, and I'm happy to know that you are following them to the T. But we did not specifically outline in the rules how to use the group messaging feature for a reason, giving people leeway to do as they wish as it's not posted in the public for all to see.
Again, as I have said in the previous reply. I don't believe people will use the group chat as a representation of the rp as a whole. If they scroll through their newsfeeds they will see various styles of writing happening be it para, semi-para, chat-style, etc.
Are you upset that people are posting memes or speaking in the YG chat without tagging (SNS)/ (SMS) or something like that? But like we have stated in our own rules and mentioned numerous times in previous announcements, we admins are not here to handhold or control you to where you have little freedom in how you rp. RP is meant to be a enjoyable and when you are too strict, things crumble. Anything that happens inside private messages is out of my control. If I were not in this YG group chat, would you have sent in an anonymous message complaining about this? I don't want to abuse my power as an admin and infringe on people's privacy. They are private for a reason. Like you wouldn't see me hoping into the Red Velvet Group chat or BTS group chat, etc out there and tell them to stop doing something a certain way simply because I don't like the way that they are doing it. It's wrong. Do you see where I am coming from?
I’ve also spoken with the creator of the YG Family chat and they’ve taken measures to ask those who would like to be included to the new YG family chat instead of randomly creating the chat without seeking permission first.
Hope that helped clear up some things.
