Just finished this piece. This is the first in a series of tree paintings inspired by last year’s transition into Northern California. The new landscapes, especially the redwoods, have really been a place of clarity and sanctuary from the chaos of the times. I was inherently humbled by their massive scale and depth. On our many walks beneath these age old trees I actually felt connected in a time of great disconnect. The trees, they help you let you go and breathe, so you can just be.
