So yeah;  Steve's craning his neck as Cameron leaves the bathroom, looking on, and yeah, he's allowed to.  Which is weird ,  even for him.   His relationship  experience  sums  up  to  the  grand total of zero   (   he got his first kiss when he was seventeen and lost his "V plates",    as Tony puts it,   out   on   the    road    as    Captain    America, Professional  Dancing  Monkey,      but  that's  all besides  the  point)    and  so  he's  not  sure  how to behave, but...

Well.    He    figures    this    isn't    a    bad    thing.

He  watches  him  go  to  pick  his clothes up and his head tilts,      lip drawing in between his teeth before he asks,

Her baths tend to be few and far between, if only because she's too damn busy to be able to spend more than ten minutes bathing. Usually it's a quick shower, in, wash her body, wash her hair, out. But today she has a free day, and so she's settled in the bath, head resting back against the tub. But she startles when she feels someone dip in next to her and she sits up, water sloshing out of the side.

Steve doesn't really know how it happened, to be honest. He had packed up Peggy with all her things,     her teddy bear,     her blanket,     pyjamas and clothes for the next morning and anything else she might want,   and he had been quite content to go and have a night in.  To himself. He had thought about going out,  because why not, when Peggy wasn't home in any case,   but then the longer he thought about it the more he just didn't want to.    He was going to go back to his pretty empty,            pretty lonely apartment,   and maybe tidy up some of the toys the six year old had left scattered around.

But then there had been the offer to stay,  and the promise of a spare room, and that's how Steve finds himself sitting in the living room with a movie playing in the background and a cup of coffee in his hand.
