Being a con wasn’t always fun. Sometimes it was hard work. but today? Today it was fun. She’d dressed up in some shoplifted designer clothes and walked into a very expensive hotel. and lied herself blue in the face about being married to Nick. He was the most famous guest currently staying there, and she’d just wanted to see if she could. Because why not.

She’d been shocked when the desk clerk gave her a key. She’d come up to the room, ordered an obscene meal, and decided to take a bath in the luxurious tub. She had just gotten out, wrapped in a fluffy robe, when the door opened.

It had been a long day- an exhausting day of travel.  In fact she wasn’t here all but two hours before she had made her way into one of the bedrooms and had fallen asleep, something long overdue. 

He was always kind to her, and anytime he let her crash at his place while she was on the move it was greatly appreciated.  On top of that she always enjoyed catching up with him, keeping comments about her life to a minimal and focus on him.  She worried about him, and in her mind rightly so.  So anytime she got to physically make sure he was okay, it eased her own mind.  

Eyes flutter open a few hours later, letting out a soft groan before slowly pushing herself off the mattress and into the hallway, searching for Nick.  She walked quietly down the hall, giving a small yawn, more preoccupied with her tired state which is why she almost didn’t hear it.  The deep breaths, hushed moans.  

Instantly the huntress stopped, her stomach tightening for a brief moment as warmth rolled through her body.  ‘Go back to your room.  Go back to your room.’  But when her eyes finally made out his figure, she found herself engaged fully, feeling herself pulse, fighting the urge not to lower her own hand.

   as much as it sucked horribly being stuck in hell for ten years  ( what felt like an eternity to her ),  being out felt so much better. there were a lot of things she didn’t know about her newfound demon status-- whether she needed to sleep or even eat, among other things. but she supposed she probably didn’t, if she was technically dead.

       she should have gone to nick before going to the demon in the first place. he would have known that she was likely to get tricked. but it was too late-- and now? now, she just wanted nick. she just wanted her dad.
