The narrative parallels between Constans and Arthur are actually really interesting. Like we have young king takes the throne unexpectedly and are taken advantage of by a shady advisor with their own agenda.
If Merlin had been more ambitious or evil would Arthur have met the same fate as his uncle? If Constans had some one looking out for him could he have been saved? Does the ghost of a murdered king chase Arthur around Camelot, begging him to see the warning signs?
