For a second, I thought this was asking about resets, and I’m pretty sure that would involve a couple of nervous breakdowns. Stretch in particular would not deal with that well. 

But no, just ending up in the universe? I think they would actually hold up rather well; once Stretch got his thoughts in order, his first inclination would be to check on the machine. It worked once, after all. (I haven’t explored yet how they ended up in the Undertale universe, we will eventually, but it had a lot to do with the borders between worlds breaking down due to resets. Underswap went first due to multiple genocide attempts and resets, and after that it was like dominoes falling, with Underfell next and both of them crashing into Undertale.) His reaction would depend on the state of the world, too...Snowdin might very well be a ghost town. 

Ha, BAON is totally a TV show, isn’t it. It even had a music episode where everyone got to sing! Now they just need an episode where everyone turns into puppets...(looking at you, Angel)

‘Slowing your roll’ will always have a special place for me, too, my first uncertain attempt at writing the Spicyhoney boys. I was so nervous about coming into an established fandom but everyone was very welcoming!

The Price of LoVe, ah, where I got to flex my slightly darker skills. I used to write very dark stories in the past and I still do, a little, and I enjoy reading them. Just lately, though, I’ve been feeling the need for fluff so sweet it probably leaves cavities, and even when I’m mean to the boys, I like to promise that it’ll turn out in the end. 

Colors, now that is entirely @cheapbourbon ‘s fault, never would have even considered that story if it weren’t for their gorgeous artwork. I’m delighted to have been inspired, it’s been great to explore.

I can remember my last day in the Navy, I found myself singing this song by Sting. I enjoyed my time in the Navy. In many ways it was a better education than my university. The nuclear Navy is a better engineering teacher than the College of Engineering where I got my Bachelor degree, and the sailors I worked with in the Navy were more diverse with a broader set of ideas than my graduating class. And yet it was time to move on.

Whenever you are about to make a major life change, you should ask yourself, ‘Am I running towards something or am I running away from something?” My wife taught me that one. I formulated the question slightly differently. You should only make a major life change when you are completely happy, because moving only changes the scenery not who you are as a person. As Robert Pirsig states in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, “The only Zen you find on tops of mountains is the Zen you bring there...To live for some future goal is shallow. It is the sides of the mountain that sustain life, not the top.”

We are about to make our third move together since getting married, and when we move, we mean it. Each one has been over 3,000 miles (5,000 km). To this day, I’m not entirely sure if I was running towards something or running away from something. I was pretty happy everywhere we lived, and Hood River is the most perfect place I have ever lived so far. Cue the final verse of Sting’s song:

“I've spent too many years at war with myself. / The doctor has told me it's no good for my health. / To search for perfection is all very well, / But to look for heaven is to live here in hell.”

I remember when our bartender/barista who was a local here all his life left to go on his adventure. “I spent the entire 36 years of my life looking for a place like this, how can you leave it?” 

He never knew anything else, and thus he didn’t know. So maybe this is a gift to our children, so that they can know another way of living and make an informed decision. Or maybe it is a gift to ourselves, such that we never become too comfortable and take things for granted. We like to play a thought experiment called ‘The Hurricane Game’, but I will save that explanation for another time.

At least this time we had an eclipse to send us off on our next adventure. Cue the chorus:
