The Pinotage Grapes Have Arrived!
The #Pinotage Grapes Have Arrived! --> http://bit.ly/1pHdG4k #wine #winemaking #homewinemaking
 The ‪Pinotage‬ has arrived!! The berries taste very sweet with good seed and pulp development. We got Brix readings of 23-24.5, .48 TA, and 3.86pH We will need to do a few adjustments but the berries look great and we are looking forward to the crush! I am still deciding which yeast to use for the Pinotage grapes. The three options we thought about are D254, D80, and BDX. Below are the…

Stretcher Bearers
1918, The Oise Sector, France.
Four brancardiers or stretcher bearers approach a tangled mesh of barbed wire. Gas masks obstruct their faces. Coils of wire swath the tall grass like cobwebs, and a human form lies half-hidden on the earth below. One of the brancardiers kneels, recognizing a patrol man who had been hit during the night while on a scouting party. They prepare to bring him back.
This photograph, along with a description of its subjects, comes from the collection of  Paul Jean Gaston Darrot. Darrot served in the French infantry, artillery and communications section of the engineers during World War I. Darrot was born in Paris, but he did not resettle there after the war. He immigrated to the United States in 1919 and died in Southbury, Connecticut, on February 14, 1958. Darrot donated the photographs and glass plates he made in WWI to the Yale University library, where they remain today.

A Place to Vent & Hopefully Call Home
The title of this post pretty much sums up what this blog is going to be about. I've recently moved from CT to Florida, and to be honest it's been nothing but a headache. I'm missing home like crazy & I can't talk to anyone about it, frankly because my parents don't care & my friends back home have heard it all before.Â
I have my good days and my bad days, & this is the place where I can hopefully let out all of the feelings I've been keeping in since i moved down here. My story will be full of good times, bad times, heartache for things and people I've loved, lost, and will encounter during my time here. I'm not looking for attention or sympathy, but if you want to know more about me and you're in Florida feel free to message me :)
This is a view of outside my front door. I know, I know how could anyone possibly not love this place? Hopefully my mind will change about this place!
