Scans from the mystery albums! I wish I could fit more than ten images, but my favorites will have to do.
These albums were found in a case in our belongings after our move. They are not the previous homeowner's. We have no idea where they came from, or who these people are, but I'm happy to share them as I try to find their owner-- and maybe posting this will help!
What I can tell about them is they are from the mid-1800s, mostly tintypes but also paper photos. The tintypes seem to follow the life of the dark-haired woman (obsessed with her lip quirk and attitude btw), who resided in Central Massachusetts (some of the tintypes are labeled as from a few photographers in the area). The second album, mostly regular photos, is from Connersville Indiana, photographed entirely by J. H. Tatman.
I presume they are two sides of the same family, as the albums were organized similarly. Do you recognize these people? Please DM me if you do!

Last night I got bored and looked up the small town I lived in for four miserable years and have relatives in because I was inexplicably thirsting for small town drama. It's not really funny because someone died, but like. Small towns are wild
1) Connersville was too bankrupt to afford fireworks this year
2) A Baptist church was going to host fireworks instead, and by all the fliers I saw posted it was definitely going to violate social distancing (remember Indiana is pence's state)
3) The elderly man who was making the fireworks for the church in his barn was blown up when they ignited, and the fireworks were cancelled out of respect
On the plus side there's actually someone running for office who's standing up to racism in that klan town
