You have literally destroyed all hopes of a good Sonic movie with your shitty choice of character design. With Yuji Naka and Jeff Fowler at the helm, all you had to do was make Sonic look acceptable. Even in this simple regard, you have fucked up and failed miserably. How do you mess up the literal appearance of a video game icon, Paramount Pictures? I could probably, PROBABLY have squinted my eyes in order to convince myself I was looking at Sonic the Hedgehog, but the design is so horrendous I can’t even do that. This is not Sonic Team’s fault in any way, shape, or form; the blame lies entirely on Paramount and partially on Sega for giving them the fucking green light. Worse still, you swapped his iconic Power Sneakers for a shitty pair of red shoes I could’ve bought for $2 at my nearest Walmart. The worst of all, however, is the possibility that SOMEONE within the production company had a legs fetish and decided this was okay. I seriously am baffled as to why Paramount would go to such lengths to tarnish the already-shoddy reputation of a great character. I wasn’t even planning on seeing the movie in the first place, but this is the final nail in the coffin for me. I highly doubt any amount of great story writing, great animation quality by Marza, or Ben Schwartz’s voice will fix this mistake of a design choice. How do you butcher a character’s design this horribly, you worthless sacks of shit? I hope you’re ready for the massive backlash you guys are gonna get. You deserve every second of it.
