okay so first of all can you like please write something about when H uses the oxygen so like y/n sees him using that on stage and she gets really worried backstage and then he lets her know somehow that he’s alright maybe by speaking in the mic so the whole crowd goes aww or just anything related to that hahah thanks
Miss @finelinevogue also wrote something with this concept, so be sure to go check it out <3
Even though Harry had almost 11 years of professional music career, no matter how many times he practiced his breathing with his vocal coach, the singer would always need oxygen while performing in a city with a higher altitude than normal.
But he was used to it, his team and band also knew there was no reason to worry about whenever Harry would take a moment to use his inhaler or nebulizer. But the same could not be said for the girl backstage.
Y/n wasn't clueless about how heights could affect the respiratory systems, she was aware it wouldn't cause the death of anyone, but Harry was different. He had been suffering from asthma since he was a child, so watching him giving his best on stage wasn't satisfactory, it was terrifying.
People around her were patting her back, trying to comfort her anxious head, but none of that worked, especially when she saw how out of breath Harry looked after singing sunflower vol.6. The moment he turned his back to the stage to put his oxygen mask on she took a step forward, out of the curtains that separated the backstage from the crowd.
The fans didn't notice her right away, being focused exclusively on Harry and his band, but at the moment her body appeared on the lane–two bodyguards by her side – Harry saw her, giving her a wink, taking a few more breaths of oxygen. He seemed calm, different from y/n, who was making a dozen gestures and signs, simply trying to ask if he was ok.
The man stared at her, tilting his head like a puppy, not understanding what she was trying to say and what she was doing there since she would normally wait for him in his dressing room. He decided the only way to properly communicate with her was using his microphone.
"Hello San Antonio!" He happily said, the fans went crazy the moment they heard Harry's voice, "I know I'm here working for you guys–" sounds of laughter filled the arena, "–but I want to know if you would excuse me for a second, I think my missus has something to say." His charm quickly won over the public, who of course, said it was ok to pause the concert for a few minutes.
"Thank you, you're all lovely," he said to them, turning his back to the fans on the other side of the arena before getting to his positions in front of Y/n. "Yes my love, what do you want?" He sweetly said, sitting on the edge of the stage, microphone still in hand.
Y/n suddenly felt shy, having the attention of almost 20.000 people on her, but she tried to keep her eyes on Harry because his presence could always calm her down. "I just wanna know if you are okay?" She said, trying her best to sound clear under her mask.
He smiled at her, feeling soft inside, "of course I am my love, don't need to worry about me. I was just a little out of breath, nothing serious, I promise." The loud wave of 'awww' met her ears, and she felt her cheeks getting hot.
"Was that it, baby?" Harry asked
She shyly nodded her head, pointing at the backstage, "I'm going back there then, please be careful."
"Always am, go on," he told her, sending her a kiss, when she mirrored his action he took the kiss in the air, putting it in his pocket.
