He’s generally a little uncomfortable receiving them; Lanque doesn’t really care much for niceness and he might be inclined to read genuine kindness as bullshit pleasantry (like, to flex on him) at first. He may insult you. It’s not easy.

Generally, though, he’s graceful receiving gifts from his quads after some time. But make no mistake: if you gift him something he doesn’t like you’re going to know. He simply won’t accept it and tbh his feelings are going to be hurt. How did you misread him so badly?

His favorite gifts have been handbound journals made specifically with him in mind; a little drawing from Wanshi of his RP character; and a small stone Bronya got for him that reminds him of his favorite grub. 

Lanque is generally not someone who gives physical gifts, but he gifts you experiences if that makes sense?? Like, if you were hungover, he’d share his hangover cure with you (after ripping on you for not being able to handle your liquor). He might write a poem with you in mind. These are reserved for his closest quadrants, though; his friends aren’t getting shit.

Love: How do they show their love? What makes them feel loved? Do they think love is more serious or more playful / casual?

He shows his love by very gradually lowering his walls and admitting that things are fucking getting to him. He hates to feel pitied, though, and how you react towards noticing this behavior is everything. He feels loved not by being pacified and told it’s okay, but by recognizing the issue and standing by his side to fight with everything they’ve got. He’s the kind of person who burns through romance.

Needless to say, Lanque takes his romantic relationships very seriously.

Nicknames: Do they use nicknames? What kind of nicknames do they like? Do they like to receive nicknames?

He might shorten your name here and there in private, but his nicknames are reserved for serious romantic moments and his own head. He likes romantic, fantastical nicknames such as “my heart / spade / etc” and “my beloved / beloathed(s)” and “darling” and such.

He melts a little if you call him “lan” in text (doesn’t sound much different than his name spoken aloud; ah the troubles of monosyllabic names), but dislikes being called nicknames too often. He chose the name “Lanque” specifically for himself and he wants to hear it, lol.

I didn’t get much done today, but our front garden is coming along nicely! We’re going to get some creeping phlox, maybe some columbine, and we have to finish putting down our compost and mulch. The back is starting to bloom too but it looks like garbage cuz I haven’t weeded or done hardly anything with it.

yes and no. lemme explain: sometimes i do warmups that turn into the warmup drawing, aka the drawing i work on for a bit before leaving it incomplete and moving onto the actual drawing i wanted to make.

most of my warm-ups are on paper so excuse me the quality of my phone camera (also these are p old bc the warmup drawing eventually became full pieces)

oh yeah but they’re used very sparingly. “mace” is the most common, “macy” is a rare but cute nickname from my ma, and “mason baby boy” is what i call myself in my head sometimes when i’m thinking in third person....lol

gabriel, cora, beatrice, roland, enoch, samantha, and jacqueline are just a few off the top of my head. almost half of these are names of family/friends.

hrnn...no. i’m open to the idea of their existence but i need solid, irrefutable proof before i’m on board. as much as i enjoy the topic of the paranormal, i’m a massive sceptic. it’s all still pretty fun to think about though.
