Roix saw the vet today for inflammation around the feathers on his legs. When a bird doesn't roost at night, it's a sign something is off. The good news is that there was NO sign of scaly leg mites, just inflammation, as suspected. Roix got 2 medications to help him feel better and we'll check back in a couple weeks. Ben says; Happy #ROOSday! 🐓 . Ben is new to Sky's the Limit. He was abandoned and left for dead in the back of a truck with no shade or water. He was taken to @humanesocietytacoma by animal control where he sat unadopted for almost a month. We pulled him from the shelter on Aug 4th and we soon realized he had been used in #cockfighting. He is missing waddles, earlobes and spurs. Ben will only know love from now on.
