I’m writing a little piece for strings octet, and the 3rd movement is a cello duet. I’d like to use double stops on one cello to give some support to the moving line coming from the other. How could I go about notating a two clef double stop? Should I use two staves like a piano or should I just write out a billion ledger lines and keep it in one clef?

I hate finalizing art.
