#commissions faq

messaging me and rudely “asking” i remove all orders of yours off of my commission sheets and works yet still using them on your toyhouse meanwhile while still probably checking accounts just to try and pry foregiveness or an apology to me, is crazy behavior.

everyone take this as an faq, if you ever befriend me and become a frequent client,if there is a falling out. you do not have the right to force me to remove half of my portfolio of examples while you still use it on your end.

Lucky for you, I got this exact question a while back from another commissioner! Here’s what I told them; my process is simple:

- The client tells me what sort of fic they’d like to commission, with as much detail as possible given so that I can create a story/scenario that they would enjoy most. This can be a Reader-Insert, involving Original Characters, or just an original piece revolving around a specific prompt or situation the client lists. It can also be SFW or NSFW, though if Mature content is requested, I’d need verification of legal age.

- For payment, I’d need the client’s primary/PayPal email address so I could organize an invoice to send to them after the piece is finished. I won’t ask for payment until the fic is ready to be posted or delivered (depending on the client’s preference).

- Each fic is $5 per 500 words. If additional details are needed for the story/scenario, I’d contact the client for them, or if there’s anything else the client wants to add to their story, they may reach out to me with them. It should take me at least a week (if not sooner) to finish the fic, depending on length and content.

For the designing you an oc thing, you can either give me a theme: ex. monster girl, moth girl, monster dog, mantis, skull head monster, demon, etc. 

Or you can let me decide on the oc!

Question: Am I allowed to give you assets I've found for a commission? Answer: Yes. You can give me as many assets as you want, just let me know WHERE you've found them so I can give credit to them (if it's unofficial or something you've found on places like Deviantart). I'd also like for you to work with me on getting what you want. So anything helps.

Question: Do I pay NOW or AFTER I get my commission? Answer: After. That way I'm not freaking out about being paid before I've done anyway work.

Question: How big are your icon Borders and any respective PSDs that go along with them? The dividers? Answer: Originally they were 290x65 but I found that to be TOO small. So I'm in the process of redoing that (doesn't take me long) to 540x121. The dividers are 540x90.

Question: Will you ever put up bundles? Answer: Yes I will! As soon as I figure out a good price for them. Different bundles mean different prices.

Question: Speaking of prices, are they all in USD? Answer: Yes, I'm American. It's the only currency that I deal with on a day to day basis. So that means for those who live outside the US or its territories, there's going to be some conversions going on.

So this is a bit of a tricky question dkljglkdfgdfg obviously for commissions I can't charge for fandom works, that's a huge illegal copyright thing that I obviously don't want to run into. BUT if you had a fandom idea there's no reason we can't rework it into a piece of original fiction (it's something I've done more than once for uni assessments tbh).
