God I love Absolute Wonder Woman. Was literally trapped in hell yet she chose to embrace compassion to creatures who cannot even fathom that there had been another option that isn't marred with cruelty. Stripped from the Amazons— her defining community— but that doesn't stop her from forging a new one as she searches for traces of her lost home: Themyscira. She proudly admits her origins, Diana of the wild Isle and princess of hell, humanity's protector 🥺🥺
I just love the themes of the absolute universe so far that in spite of the bleak world they live in— It doesn't dampen the heroes' hope and sense of justice, it merely makes it more pronounced.
And GOD THESE PANELS.
It's so beautiful. The story, art, and the compositions of the comic are all 💯💯💯💯. I strongly recommend reading the comic. I haven't read much wonder woman comics, but I can feel the love the creators had for her character in this series.
