CONT. UNDER THE SPOILER: EYESTRAIN AND DARK THEMES

I feel like whenever people say Jade was written as overly evil makes me feel like they never really paid attention to jade as a character and just how complex she is

Jade is someone who is yes, she's written as evil which is fair, she has killed people for Even blew up a country but at the same time she does care for Roy and Lian but also knows her possible presence in their life is extremely dangerous, jade is somehow who while we may not know much about her backstory all that much other than she was possibly thrown into slavery

Can't get through that trauma and in the same place also left in very unfortunate circumstances which leaves the question on if she could have ever really had been a good person, was always doomed to be evil or could have even been a hero

I also want to note that It isn't the job of other characters like Roy and Lian to further her development, are they extremely part of her development? Yes of course! But I feel like they shouldn't be large figures in their life

Jade knows what she's doing to Lian is selfish and will just harm her in the long run, this is shown mostly in titans 99 where jade goes to visit Lian at the park only for Lian to be caught up in a attack that was met to get her, jade loves Lian and she knows she can't be apart of her life without giving away her a normal life but she cant let go

The same goes for Roy, he loves her and she loves him but they know they can't be together because of the fact jade can't just stop, she just won't stop. How this story will end? We don't know, we may never know but I feel like the Williamson run was sorta going to be that arc for the two characters to finally end it

AND HONESTLY I WISHED THAT THEY DID RIGHT, KISS YOU MORONS PLEAS-

Okay sorry, ahem my jaderoy shipping side took over there for a second basically what I'm saying is that you can't take everything a character does or say at surface level, you need to look deeper and try to find out what things mean deeper than they are and I feel like Jade's character at least in rob the justice league missed

Do I want people to think the same as me? Of course not! That's not what I want but I just want people to look deeper into things

If you want a good start on Jade's character I recommend things like

New teen titans

New titans (I think she actually appears there too)

Deathstroke by Marv wolfman (good series, sad that it's underappreciated)

And of course the one and only Cheshire contract

Im so happy that it has touched so many people and had such a positive spread, but there is one thing in the comic that ive been seeing people miss-interpreting. And i would appreciate people also knowing:
