people dont understand how much i love comics just cus i dont own a lot of them
but my favorite memories are getting comics from the library and reading them on my bed at noon, the sun coming in through the window and blasting 60s-80s music
Ok I know I just made a post about how much I hate the avatar comics (I do) but I wanted to make an appreciation post for this comic (team avatar tales)
This comic is everything I wanted the main comics to be!!
There’s interactions between characters that didn’t have time to interact in the show (there’s a Ty Lee and toph comic!! Super unexpected but fun duo), theres more explorations of characters that weren’t included in the show as much, there’s short comics that actually match the ideas and themes of the show, the characters aren’t mischaracterised (unlike in the main comics…)- it’s such a good collection of short stories!!
Plus there’s gorgeous art and a whole comic of suki being a badass- what more could you want!
It’s only a short collection of comics, but it does more for me than all of the main comics that were released as a continuation of atla

I have just binge read the available chapters on Webtoon twice and I absolutely love this series. I have always liked the story of Persephone and Hades, and I love a good adaptation. The only thing is that I found a lot of them disappointing. Typically, Hades is the villain in the story, does all of these bad things, and Persephone usually hates him.
This author doesn't do that, and I absolutely love it. In this adaptation, the gods are living in a modern Olympus and Underworld which is very similar to our world and the gods are treated like celebrities. Although the characters have more depth and some of them are pretty hilarious, they all stay true to who they are based on Greek mythology.
I don’t do spoilers, but this has to be my favorite portrayal of Hades and Persephone. Hades is still the king of the underworld, but he is so much more than that. He’s sweet, adorable, and is dealing with a painful past. Then, there’s Persephone who is kind, and finds herself dealing with the crazy social scene that is Olympus. Right from the beginning, there is an obvious connection between the two, but there is plenty in their way. There is a bit of foreshadowing on the ending, but how long it will take to get there and what happens on the journey there is still a mystery. I look forward to seeing where this story goes and cannot wait for more chapters to be put up.
