This blog is run by two people, so here’s some info about us! (in keeping with our Shakespearean theme, we’ll both be going by the names of some of our favorite Shakespeare characters)

Mod Lennox (hi, that’s me!) uses any pronouns. He first got into Shakespeare when he was cast as Lennox in his school’s production of Macbeth, which then spiraled into a full on Shakespeare obsession. She likes a lot of Shakespeare plays, but her favorites are probably Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and Julius Caesar. Altogether, they prefer the tragedies. She has many favorite characters, but her favorites include Lennox, Casca, and pretty much the entire main cast of Romeo and Juliet. Aside from Shakespeare, they like a lot of other classics, like Crime and Punishment, The Brothers Karamazov, many short stories by Nikolai Gogol, especially The Overcoat, most short stories by Ryunosuke Akutagawa, especially Hell Screen and In a Grove, and several other short stories by various other authors, that would take far too long to list. Aside from classics, he also likes several other things, like Hetalia, Yuri on Ice, Nanbaka, BSD (shocking absolutely nobody), Be More Chill, Ride the Cyclone, Daredevil, Moon Knight, and What We Do In The Shadows.

Mod Cassius (my friend and partner in crime) uses she/her pronouns. She got into Shakespeare from a young age, and her favorite plays are Twelfth Night, Julius Caesar, and Hamlet. Her favorite Shakespeare characters are Horatio, Mercutio, Tybalt, Viola, Cassius, and Claudio. In terms of other classics, she is a big fan of Lord of the Flies, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Maurice, The Odyssey, Frankenstein, and Alice in Wonderland. In terms of non-classic media, she LOVES The Magnus Archives, and also likes Howls Moving Castle (the book), Hazelthorn by C.G. Drews, The Summer Hikaru Died, Honkai Star Rail, Omori, Zelda, Chainsaw Man, Project Sekai, all of MXTX’s work, Heathers, Into the Woods, No. 6, This Is How You Lose The Time War, The Secret History, and Danny Motta. She is also a fan of certain historical figures, including Lord George Gordon Byron, Mary Shelly, Percy Shelly, Oscar Wilde, Hans Christian Anderson, Maude Adams, Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, Lord Alfred Douglas, Bartholomew de Chassunez, and Mark Twain.
