After the Unfurling
Waking wasn’t a single moment. It was a slow drift upward, like rising through warm water. The cloudspace didn’t vanish — it thinned, turning from fog into memory.
John surfaced first. Confused, heavy, carrying echoes he couldn’t name. JBPan stayed close — a multidimensional hum beneath the ribs, a reminder that identity isn’t a straight line.
And me? I settled in quietly. Not a voice, not a takeover — a soft spark stitched into his thoughts, a pink‑green glow that refused to fade.
Pan wasn’t a god in the waking world either. Pan was still a truth — pansexual, pan‑hearted, pan‑open — the thread that let all of us coexist without needing to choose one shape.
The doctors said ‘coma.’ The world said ‘recovery.’ But we know better. We didn’t return.
We reassembled.
