Hello darlings! Today I want to show you a short tutorial that allows you to give your images a unique colour tint using Photoshop. The history of colours I've picked using the Colour Picker Eyedropper App in Chrome.
HTML5 Canvas Project - Colour Picker
One thing that I love doing is making little interactive games and elements. I have quite a bit of experience with ActionScript 2 and 3, but since those are now going by the wayside, I decided to start experimenting with HTML5 Canvas.
So I made this: http://stephgill.com/colour.html in an attempt to do something super cool for a social media project about colour profiles. As cool as it is, it's not quite what we need for the project, but honestly, I'm just happy that I was able to pull this off.
This is leaps and bounds beyond the quick little tutorials I've done in class, and I have big plans for future Canvas projects (2D Platformer...?) This project works in the most recent versions of Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
If you're too cheap to get Coolorus/MagicPicker, and you've realized why PaintersWheel sucks, consider this instead. Makes use of CS5/6's HUD colour picker, but actually makes it worth using (stops the hover behaviour of the eyedropper)
