you see me very chill but inside i'm still thinking about who killed Jack Thompson? is he really dead? what happened to Doty Underwood? how where the first years after S.H.I.E.L.D was founded? how did Peggy reacted to Daniel's death?
I really need a third Agent Carter season and I wouldn't mind to be a few years late, even after "Daniel's death", actually I think Peggy running S.H.I.E.L.D and learning about Daniel being killed would be a really start to a new season after pretty almost a decade.
Maybe even getting the idea of someone hauting them they could get a clue to the Winter Soldier, be it Bucky or Michael Carter (which was a theory back then when season 2 ended) and from there develop a third season.
We could get Peggy Carter of course, and Jarvis, Stark, even Colonel Philips and Dum Dum Dugan if I may be so bold, and introduce new characters would be cool too, and personaly I would really like the idea of Thompson living and being in this season but his death and Daniel's could be a really good detonant and build up

I’m sorry idk why I’m thinking of this but at the end of catfa, why the hell was Peggy in the car with Philips? She wasn’t driving or anything, just sitting there and calling out to Steve? Seems like it was just a waste of time, for her to get into the car, then kissing Steve (probably knowing that he wasn’t coming back even if he could because the person he loved the most in the world was dead) she was really useful during the fight and all so why wasn’t she there?
What Is and What Could Have Been Chapter 4- Azzano
Chapter Summary: Your guts had been right and the 107th was captured by HYDRA forces. You meet Captain America for the first time and he isn’t as you remember.
As scheduled, Sergeants Barnes and Dugan, along with the rest of the men of the 107th, left for Azzano at daybreak. It was hard to see Bucky leaving, especially since you had an idea of what HYDRA was up to; even if you hadn’t been able to bring back enough evidence to convince the generals. Most of the men were ready to see some action, though there were a few you could tell didn’t want to be anywhere near a battle; Bucky included.
They left, and you had told Bucky not to purposefully say goodbye out of fear that if he did, he wouldn’t come back. He reluctantly agreed, but as he marched out, his glance lingered a little longer than normal. Your heart ended up somewhere in your left foot as it sank. Your gut was seldom wrong, and today it told you something terrible was going to happen to the 107th.
Azzano was a day’s walk from the base. It wasn’t terribly far from the Italian border with Slovenia. Their orders were to fight back the Nazi forces. Two hundred men left that morning. They were only supposed to be gone for three days.
Day four, fifty of the two hundred men returned. Bucky, Dum Dum, and Gabe Jones were not among them. The survivors told stories of tanks that shot a blue beam. The Nazis had been decimated almost immediately. They swore their fellow soldiers had not met the same fate, but they didn’t return either.
Colonel Philips and Peggy returned to start sorting out the mess. You did your best to stay busy and not think of your friends and fiancé out there. You were assigned to the nurse’s tent to aid with the wounded; some were worse than others. The worst among them were the ones who required amputation. You couldn’t bear to help with those. Not while Bucky was still out there. After you had done all that could be done, you and Peggy were sent to Azzano to investigate the battlefield. After nothing but tank tracks were found, you both agreed to check the old manufacturing warehouse you had infiltrated before. It was completely abandoned and empty of everything but the dead soldiers they had used as slaves. HYDRA had moved on. You returned empty handed and with nothing more to go on aside from the stories. You thought it could have been weapons like what the slaves had been making, but with no weapons in hand, there was no proof.
None of the spirit you had seen when they left lingered. This was a war and these boys just became men. They had brought Captain America, the latest gimmick from the War Department to help sell bonds, out to put on a show for the men, but you couldn’t stand the thought of anyone supporting such a war as this.
Peggy met up with you and told her about her adventures in New Jersey and how they all landed her in Brooklyn. You hadn’t thought about home much, but you really longed for Brooklyn now. She told you about the genetically engineered super soldier that Howard Stark and Dr. Abraham Erskine had created. She talked about how he was such a small man from Brooklyn who had enough fight to take on the entire globe. He reminded you of Steve. They had left him there and decided that after Erskine’s murder, that he wasn’t the answer and they left him there. Peggy was excited that his travels had brought him to the base. Apparently, he was made for much more than show tunes.
You decided you would go with Peggy to meet him, after all, he was all she talked to you about. Even if it was just to keep your mind off from Bucky. As you were walking with her, you were called to the tent. You parted ways and was set on the task of sorting condolence letters. You found Bucky’s in the second pile and tried not to die inside at the thought of Mrs. Barnes and Rebecca opening it. Halfway through the pile when A strange man in a costume stormed in with Peggy demanding to know about Sergeant James Barnes. Steve. Philips was just telling him that the name was familiar when you tackled Steve in a hug. You couldn’t hold back the tears as you told him Bucky didn’t come back from Azzano. Steve was madder than you had ever seen him and demanded to know what Philips and the Generals planned to do to get them back. Not satisfied with the answer, he stormed right back out; leaving you and Philips with your mouths hanging open.
You finished your stack and asked to be excused. Captain America was missing come to his next performance. Peggy Carter and Howard Stark were also nowhere to be found. A plane was reported stolen shortly thereafter and it became obvious what had happened. Peggy was in hot water, Howard danced in like nothing was wrong and you were left wondering if two of your best friends were dead.
Colonel Philips had just completed the condolence letter for Captain Steve Rogers when men started yelling and running to the entry road. Captain American and one hundred or so men were marching into camp. They had weapons and a tank with them. HYDRA’s new weapons could now be investigated; but more importantly, right beside Steve, was Bucky
I forgot that colonel Phillips was actually really funny. like, yeah, he's not the best, but "if you have something to say now's a great time to keep it to yourself" and "B-A-R-" "I can spell" and being on board with Peggy punching hodges in the face
Because I apparently don't watch movies when I'm feeling healthy. But hey, at least you get more meta? Though fair warning, I kept putting more shots in my vodka tea the longer the movie went on, so there are probably some typos in it.
IM love IM2 love IM3 love
First of all, I love the fact that you can see the skin grafts on Hugo Weaving in that first scene with the Red Skull. Like, if you're looking, you can see where the skin isn't smooth at his ear and down the side. Just little details that are love.
Also, seeing Jenna Louise Coleman as a Bucky's date and with an American accent is weird. It just is. Doctor, did you accidentally get her brainwashed and left in the 1940's?
I have a lot of Steve feels too, like how his eyes look when he's told no again, his expression when he sees Bucky's uniform, and then when Bucky springs it on him that he's got a date and he tries to fix his hair. It's like, skinny Steve, how are you so adorable? Especially when Bucky calls him on his BS about having nothing to prove. The fact that he has strategy books in his trunk also makes me happy, because he takes his job seriously (even if he can't follow orders for anything).
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeah, I still don't like Howard. For whatever reason, I hate him more every time I see him. His showmanship, the way he looks at Steve like an experiment, the way he says "I doubt Rogers picked up on that" like it's a contest, and when it's too little, too late for looking for Steve. I dunno. I guess I'm just never going to like him, no matter how I try.
Steve and Erskine's scenes just make me smile. Steve goes from 'Oh shit, I've been found out' to sass perfectly. And I love his sly smile when he's asked where he's really from. Like, I don't see how think he always follows the rules, when he automatically reverts to puppy dog eyes when he's caught and sass once he gets away with it.
Also, I love that Peggy does the exact same thing. Punches the guy, then jumps when Colonel Phillips comes and pretends she did nothing of the sort. Like, hey, maybe we can't get a head in life, but at least we can get away with everything.
My love of Colonel Phillips knows no bounds. It makes me terribly sad he's not in more fics, because Tommy Lee Jones is just amazing. He really is. His delivery is just so fantastic. I really do need more of him in fic. Like, he's never even mentioned half the time. You see a lot of nods to the Howling Commandos, but never to him. And Steve's eyebrow when Phillips said the men are going to get much better was priceless.
The progression of Peggy's love is adorable too. Oh, look, he's clever for getting the flag, that's so cute. Look at him covering that grenade, he's a brave idiot I shouldn't fall for because heroes die too easily. Look at him fumbling while trying to talk to me and be respectful, it's precious and I'm falling a bit for the 'beaten but not helpless' bit. 'The right partner,' huh? Okay, 'I've fallen for him entirely and there's no going back' smile time because a guy who is romantic and doesn't think with his cock is sexy.
Look at him with the serum! I did not sign up for this, but there is no way in hell I'm complaining. WTF, no sweetheart, I did not fall in love with you so you could push me out of the way when I had him. Still, at least I got to watch his ass while he ran. No, I did not fall in love with you so you could imply I sleep with the engineer. Did he just jump out of a plane? Just because that's sexy does not mean he can order me around. Did he just sass me about being late? Okay, that I'll accept for falling harder for him. Look at him in that uniform checking me out in this red dress. I'm so going to deflower him when this war is over and it will be a night to remember.
Sweetheart, I love you, but turning my legit anger at you kissing another woman back on me and the engineer which you are guess at? Yeah, you're losing brownie points big time. Look at him trying to flirt while we're in the middle of a Hydra base. I don't have time for this, but he's cute. And I still get to watch is ass as he leaves.
He's putting the plane down. Damn it, I knew I should have never fallen in love with a hero. Steve?
Steve?
(feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels)
Steve's fear during the experiment just makes me want to hug him. I love how Erskine puts a hand on his shoulder too. This isn't something he can fight and lose. He's trusting science he doesn't understand, and he's terrified.
Also his sheer terror at going on stage is precious. Another thing he can't punch. Steve is pretty cute when he's scared. It might also be the head wings that make him adorable though.
I want a fic exploring Zola and Erskine's relationship. Or just Zola in general, because he's a well written and interesting character for being a side villain. He was so one-dimensional in Cap 2 from what I remember, just being a stereotype villain, but in this movie you can see his conflict at times, which makes him more interesting.
I think more needs to be made of that small smile Steve has when he sees himself on screen. Like, a lot of fic has him hating press stuff, and, fair enough, but I think there's a small part of him that enjoys the attention too. He's still a little guy and he's suddenly being treated like a movie star. A small part of him just kind of soaks up that attention, and I'd like to see fic of Tony noticing it and then setting things up occasionally in ways that would make Steve comfortable.
Though Steve realizing that the soldiers he's being on stage for aren't buying the act just makes me want to hug him. He need cuddles. Especially when his shoulders are hunched and he's looking down when he leaves the stage.
(I still love Cap's red boots with an unhealthy passion)
"Who are you?" "I'm... Captain America." "Wait, you know what you're doing?" "Yeah. I've punched out Hitler over 200 times." I really love this scene a lot. Steve's sass is just in epic levels. I don't know why, but I find him so adorable in this scene. It also makes me really need a movie of just the Howling Commandos and Peggy taking everyone down.
Then you have Steve's sass with Bucky. "What happened to you?" "I joined the army." "Is it permanent?" "So far~!" Steve, never stop being a smart ass. Ever. You precious thing.
Steve's eyes when Red Skull says they've left humanity behind just make me want to hug him more. Steve needs hugs.
"All because you had a crush." "It wasn't that. I had faith." I feel like more should be made of this line. It's not like Cap 2, where the faith put in Cap made me uncomfortable. She believed because she'd gotten to know Steve, and that's something I like about Peggy a lot.
I know there are issues with the scene where Peggy shoots the shield, but I can't help but love it. Especially Steve's puppy dog eyes when he looks out from it and Peggy's smile.
Also, I never noticed the shield fits on the star on Steve's back. A bit much there, Steve. Steve's smile when there are explosions probably implies he'd be a lot more susceptible to Tony's brand of crazy than fanfic implies too.
Phillip's smile when he sees Steve's compass is adorable.
I have to wonder though. If Gabe just kind of burst in on Zola at the end, what was the point of sending Steve and Bucky in first instead of just having Zola order the guards to stand down? Other than creating a battle to let Bucky fall, obviously.
"You don't give up, do you?" "Nope." So. Much. Sass. Also, I forget this all the time too because I tend to write more formally, but Steve really uses bad grammar and informal speech a lot. I kind of love that about him.
I do wonder what the Tessaract showed Red Skull. Both Clint and Selvig said it showed them things, and before the Tessaract teleported him to where ever, it had to have shown him something. I wonder what it was?
Also, going back to Steve's fear? He was afraid when he realized what he had to do to put the plane down. CUDDLES. Also, Peggy really needs cuddles as well. Feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels. Phillips also needs a hug. Give Peggy some fatherly hugs already.
GABE'S FEDORA. It is possibly my new sexuality.
"I had a date." Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve. *cuddles everyone in the movie*
Over all, I still really like this movie a lot. I think I like it better than the second, even if that's an unpopular opinion. I... really do feel like I should have more of a connection to Bucky in this movie, but I don't. At least I do like him better than I did in CA2, where I didn't really feel for him either way.
So I wrote this one as more of a live blogging than wrap up post like the other. I'm not sure which one I like better. We'll see. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my whiny Cap love.
I'm considering writing up my thoughts on MCU Civil War, but my meta never tends to get a lot of notes. What do you guys think? You want to hear them?

Colonel Philips: You've never offered the Army any of that--they could come in handy.
Howard: I always save the best toys for myself, Colonel. With regards to this "SSR" business…I want in.
Philips: Really? What changed your mind?
Howard: That was the most fun I've had in months…
