Summary: Written for last year's Colloyd Week 2022, for Day 7: Free Day / Colloyd Day! Lloyd and Colette are spending their vacation in Altamira and enjoy their last day there!

Colette gave a quiet, excited squeak and nudged Lloyd's arm, pointing over to the spot on a nearby tree where she'd spotted a squirrel. He looked over in that direction and squeezed her other hand, letting her know that he'd seen it too.

It was the last day of their vacation and they'd decided to sit on the porch of their cabin watching the wildlife around them. They had already packed, something they both were able to do very quickly and efficiently because of how much of their lives they had spent travelling, and had the rest of the morning and afternoon to enjoy in the comfortable, shady spot on the porch swing.

They'd spent a lot of time sitting there or by a window in the cabin, looking out at the various wildlife that was roaming in the wooded area the cabin was built in. It was one of quite a few, along with a hotel and little resort area, that Regal's company had built to compliment the Altamira resort. She and Lloyd had had a very busy couple of months, working on commissions and helping Regal and some of his Altamira theme park team with some mascot stuff. Their wedding anniversary had been coming up and Regal had insisted that they should have a stay at one of the cabins to relax after all the hard work they'd done and as an anniversary present from him...

Summary: Written for last year's Colloyd Week 2022, for Day 6: Quote Day, "Please, dream some good dreams for me, Lloyd." Before she can sleep, Colette asks Lloyd to tell her a bedtime story.

The first time Colette had asked Lloyd to help with good dreams had been shortly after their journey to reunite the two worlds had ended. They had started travelling together, just the two of them, and were camped out in a peaceful spot, the clear sky full of stars, with a small campfire crackling softly and gently near them. It had felt a bit weird, it being just the two of them and Noishe rather than the larger group that, up until a few days ago, they'd been used to being surrounded by, but there was something rather nice about having time to themselves too.

They'd gotten into their sleeping bags to be cozy, settled on their sides facing each other as they talked, one of Colette's hands curled around one of Lloyd's. Noishe had curled up beside Colette, his head resting on her sleeping bag, fairly relaxed but still alert enough to keep a watch out for any potential dangers that might appear.

Lloyd yawned slightly and murmured drowsily about banking the fire so they could sleep. He started to move but paused when Colette squeezed his hand a little tighter.

"Um, Lloyd, I," she said very quietly, blushing and looking away for a moment. Then she took a deep breath and turned her eyes back to him. "I, this will probably sound really silly, and if you think it is then you can just say no but, um, could I ask you to do something for me?"

Summary: Written for last year's Colloyd Week 2022, for Day 5: AU / Crossover! A unique interpretation of the prompt where Colette thinks about the safety and comfort that Dirk's home provides as she crosses over a familiar bridge.

Colette gave a little sigh and felt her shoulders relax as she saw the welcome, familiar sight of Dirk's house. As she started to cross over the small bridge with Lloyd she felt herself relax even further.

Crossing over the bridge gave her the feeling of stepping into a special, safe space. While the river was hardly a moat and the bridge wasn't a drawbridge there was still something about Dirk's place that gave her a feeling of security and comfort that was unique to the place.

It was, she thought, something that had started when she'd still been living in Iselia and had been allowed on rare, special occasions, to visit Lloyd and his father. In the village she had always had to be on her best, most Chosen-like behaviour but, although the habit had been so ingrained it was hard to break, she had felt able to be a bit less formal here. The politeness and formality still stuck somewhat, she suspected that it had frustrated Dirk a little when he'd tried to insist she didn't need to be so formal at his house but she just couldn't get completely used to it and had sometimes ended up settling on the slightly odd combination of Mr. Dirk rather than the just plain Dirk he'd told her was fine. There were definitely occasions where she remembered feeling far more relaxed than she ever had in the village though...
