I invented a new word!
Colliloquy:
1. When a colloquialism is spoken or performed as a theatrical soliloquy.
2. When one speaks philosophically to oneself (soliloquizes) about a colloquialism or idiom; ex - when I pace the kitchen in the middle of the night, waxing poetic (ranting to myself) about how the phrase "easy as pie" sounds reasonable, until you've actually tried to make pie yourself.
